Autumn's Wish

Chapter 23

When we arrive at the museum and I'm immediately distracted by all the amazing objects. I quickly start to walk away when Chandler stops me.

"Yes, Chan?" I say.

"Wait for my mom." He says.

"Sweetie it's alright go have fun. I'm going to look at the gift shop. You guys have fun." She says.

"Alright mom." He says taking my hand.

"Meet back here at 3:30 okay?" She says.

"Okay." We both say looking at her.

Our eyes meet again. I turn away but he pulls my head back as he gently kisses my lips. I stand there for a moment taking it all in then we start walking to the art section.

"Look at this!" I exclaim.

"What is that?" He asks.

"I don't know. It kind of looks like a elephant with wings." I say trying to focus on the figure.

"Yeah, it does." He says pointing to the wings.

"I like it though, it's different." I say.

There's a long pause then after about two minutes he turns to me.

"Why the museum?" He asks.

"I don't know, I just thought it would be cool." I say.

"Well I don't care where we are just as long as I'm with you." He says looking at me.

"Chan." I say in awe as I move my foot back and forth.

"I also have another question." He says.

"You always have questions." I say smiling at him.

"Only for you." He says smiling back.

"So what's the question?" I ask.

"I wanted to know. If you would, I mean if you're not going with anyone else. Would you want to maybe go to homecoming with me?" He asks nervously.

"Chan," I pause. "I would love to go to homecoming with the most amazing guy I know." I say.

"You will?" He says as his grin begins to grow.

"Yes." I say.

Around 2:57 P.M. we start to head back to the meeting spot. I look around for Chandlers mom and spot her by a plant.

"There she is." I say pointing to her.

We quickly walk over and talk about all the cool things we saw and learned about today.

"That's nice guys!" She says happily.

"What did you do mom?" Chandler asks.

"Well if you must know I bought you guys a couple things." She says with a grin.

"Like what?" He asks.

I shift from one leg to another and I accidentally hit Chandlers hand. He goes with the flow and begins to hold my hand in his.

"I'll show you when we get home. Your brother is looking forward to meeting Autumn." She says.

"Ugh, great." He says rolling his eyes.

I look at him and he looks back at me with a face that says: 'this should be fun' I give him a 'it's okay' face and we walk out of the museum.
