Autumn's Wish

Chapter 3

At home I went straight to my room. It's still hard to believe he's gone I thought to myself as tears begin to roll down my face. Why him? I yelled in my mind. "Why? why couldn't it have been me!" I scream loudly into my pillow.

Then there's a knock at my door.

"Auti. You okay in there?" Asked Lauren.

I sniffle and wipe the tears away from my eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine." I say in return.

The door opens and she sits at the end of my bed, she looks at me then leans in for a hug. I hug her tightly and start to cry.

"I know it's hard Auti, we both miss him and he's in a better place now." She says in a comforting voice.

"I understand that, but why him? Why!" I shout a little.

"No one can change the past. I'm sure if he knew what was going to happen that day he wouldn't have ever gotten on that plane." She said reassuring.

"I miss him so much! Why did they do that? Why did they ruin so many innocent lives? Now he won't ever get to see me age up, get married, have kids, nothing." I said trying not to cry.

"He does see you Auti, just from another view. It's hard to let someone go but just know they are still here with us." She paused and continued. "I have something for you." She said happily as she left my room and came back with a envelope with the name 'Autumn' on it.

"What is this?" I say as I take the envelope.

"It's an early birthday present." She said.

I open the envelope and find a letter from Chandler Riggs saying. 'Dear Autumn, I've heard a lot about you; and I was wondering if you'd like to join me on set and for the Walker Stalker Con in two weeks? I hope to see you soon! (HIS NUMBER)

"Oh my gosh!" I scream and start to cry.

"What is it?" She asks curiously.

I hand her the letter and wipe away my tears of joy. Jumping in my spot on bed still trying to accept the fact Chandler wrote to me! Out of everyone!

"That's amazing Auti!" She says excitedly. "Better get your bags packed!" She says.

I jump off my bed and get random clothes from my dresser and throw them into my 'PINK' bag making sure most of them match.

"When you're done will you join us for dinner?" Aunt Lauren asks.

"Yes!" I exclaim.

She walks out and closes the door smiling as she walks downstairs I hear her talking to Adam about what just happened.

About seventeen minutes later I run downstairs and take a seat at the dinner table. Steak and mashed potatoes! my favorite I thought to myself. I eat and say thank you again to Aunt Lauren and Adam; as I run upstairs I go take a shower, brush my teeth and finish my homework from earlier then I fall asleep. Honestly it was the best sleep I've gotten in nine years.
