After about two hours Adam calls me. I answer kind of nervous.

"Hello?" I say awkwardly not knowing how to start a conversation.

"Auti." He says.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Sorry I didn't answer you earlier, it's just to upsetting; I didn't want to worry you but I need to tell you that aunt Lauren is in the hospital." He says.

Chandler over hears and leans against the wall from the living room connected to the kitchen. I glance at him then begin to talk again.

"It's fine. What happened though?" I ask trying not to cry.

"Sorry, there's a lot to deal with and I didn't know how to bring it up, anyway while on her way to the grocery store someone ran a red light and hit the drivers side. The doctors are running a CAT scan now, the results will be in by tomorrow but for now she is on pain medicine." He says over tears.

"It's fine Adam. Keep me in touch please." I say fighting tears.

"I promise I will. Are you guys going to be fine till tomorrow?" He asks hesitantly.

"Yes." I say before hanging up.

I quickly hang up the phone then slide down the wall as wrap my arms around my knees. Chandler walks into the kitchen and sits by me, he touches my right cheek with his gentle hand.

"Are you going to be okay?" He asks concerned.

"Yeah." I sniffle then continue. "I'll be fine."

"She'll be okay." He says wrapping his arm around me.

"I hope so." I say laying my head on his shoulder.

"You want to do something to take your mind off of things?" He asks.

"Please." I say as he stands up.

"Like a walk?" He asks.

"Sure." I say with a forced smile.

Slowly I get up. I grab my phone, some money and the keys to the house. Chandler begins to intwine our fingers as we leave the quiet house.
