The next day...
Winter was around the corner but the sun still stubbornly rose for a final show. The little furry animals, both herbivores and carnivores, hurried themselves in collecting food at the last minute, in preparation for the upcoming harsh cold season. The avian animals flew south for a warmer environment before the lakes and forest they reside freezes.
But it was different for the territorial swans, geese and ducks living in the Swan Castle II, as the carbon copy Azure Lake stays warm even during the winter (or any other season for that matter) due to the Regina family's magic. Lucky for them, the migrating birds thought as they flew by.
On the third floor of the castle, the dazzling sunlight seeped into the small gap of the royal purple window curtains, surely but slowly creeping inside the room with different hues of violet. The light finally reached the middle of the room where a certain auburn haired beauty was peacefully (ungracefully) sleeping.
Guinevere lay beside the piles of AlucardxGranger comics. She unconsciously hugged the signed poster that was taken out of the glass frame as if it was a baby once the light reached her eyes, her nose adorably scrunched up in slight annoyance.
Her doll-like face still had remnants of tears from her breakdown last night. Guinevere's emerald eyes fluttered open but soon shielded them from the sunlight.
"Good heavens...ouch urgh!" Guinevere groaned as she stretched her sore body. Her neck was stiff and her back hurts. And not to mention the nasty hangover.
She couldn't believe she fell asleep on the cold rugged floor, still wearing the same clothes she wore the whole day yesterday and there were even traces of drool on the side of her mouth!
'Eew! Guinevere Baroque, you're disgracing yourself so early in the morning! How on earth did I end up here?!' Guinevere sat there recollecting her thoughts as she wipe away the dried drool using her sleeves.

They stayed at Gorge, the Baroque siblings' grandiosely quaint town where they born and raised, for four days.
At first Guinevere was apprehensive of going back to Baroque Castle-- her previous home. But no matter how much she loathed her parents, she wasn't as heartless as she deemed herself to be. There was still little familial love left in her bones and was saddened by the news of their mother's illness. So after half a day's rest from her 72-hour coma, Guinevere was the one to initiate the idea of the three of them visiting their parents at the same day.
Without further adieu, the three embarked on a journey using a purple mini cooper towards Gorge, which was a bit far from the Capitol. But thanks to Moniyan Empire's partnership with Eruditio, there were Teleportation Stations at each big cities, making travelling easier. They left Swan Castle at 3 pm and arrived at the nearest city after a full minute, then they drove for 30 minutes before they got to their destination.
The town was barely recognizable. New establishments were here and there, but thanks to the huge first generation Elder Baroque statue at the town plaza, they would have mistaken the the place to be a different town. What didn't change was the Baroque Castle; it was still proudly standing tall, fancy and elegant. The Baroque's were one of the oldest generation of nobles in the entire Moniyan Empire and were recognized by the Emperor as a Ducal Family.
Upon arriving at Baroque Castle, they were greeted by rows of royal maids, servants, and soldiers. The old butler immediately took the three to the Duchess's room where she rests. A familiar blonde man was the one who opened the double doors for them, his face was etched with wrinkles and worry.
