Chapter 40

Avu went into her room. Reem went behind her. Avu was sobbing. Reem gave her water. She hugged her and rubbed her back.
Annu: Chup ho ja Avu. It's ok. Calm down
Reem consoled her.

Annu's P.O.V.: How can someone behave like this yaar? Mera bas chle toh abhi isse yha se le jaau.
Avu calmed down a little.
Avu: Reem you go. I am alright
Reem: It's ok Avu. I am here with you
Avu: No you go. I will tell you when I have to go to my parents' home. We will go later
Reem: Pakka? You alright na?
Avu nodded. Reem left unwillingly.

At night, Sid came home.
SM: Beta get fresh. Dinner is ready
Sid: (angrily) Maine aapko subah bola tha na Avu ko kuch nhi kehna. Apko meri koi baat samaj kyo nhi aati
Avu: Sid please let it be
Sid: You just shut up. Let me talk to her
Avu got quite.

SM: Sid tu iske lie mujhse ladega
Sid: Stop your emotional blackmail. And if you said anything to her again. I swear mujhse bura kuch nhi hoga
Sid left in anger.

SM: It's all happening because of you (pointing to Avu)
Tears rolled down Avu's eyes. She quitely went to her room. Sid was sitting on bed scrolling his phone. Avu went near him and kept a hand on his shoulder. He looked at her.
Avu: You alright?
Sid nodded.

Avu: Sid she is your mom
Sid: So? She can do whatever she wants? She can hurt others?
Avu: But still she is elder than you. And what am I to you? I am anyways gonna leave you
Sid got up from bed and held her shoulders.

Sid: Never say again that you don't mean anything to me
Avu: I am sorry
Sid: It's ok
Avu: Have dinner
Sid: I am not hungry
Avu: Please. Thoda sa
She requested him and he couldn't refuse. Avu brought dinner in room and both had it.

Sid: Achha listen. Tomorrow go and meet your parents
Avu: But ma...
Sid: (cuts her) Leave her
Avu: Ok
Sid: GN
Sid left. Avu called Reem and told her.
In morning, Avu went to her parents' home. Reem also reached. They greeted her parents. They had breakfast.
Reem: Aunty uncle I came to invite you. After 2 days it's my engagement. So you both and dadi have to come
AU: Obviously beta you are like my daughter. We will surely come
SA: Congrats beta. I am so happy for you (Hugs her and kissed her forhead)
Avu: Mom dad I also wanna talk something important
AU: Ya say
Avu: Woh actually...
SA: Kuch problem hai beta?
Avu: Ma actually I am going abroad for higher studies
AU: Seriously? That's nice beta
Avu: And Sid and me are taking divorce
AU and SA got shocked.
AU: Kya? Par kyu?
Avu explains them everything.
AU: Beta par..
Avu: Dad we both have decided
AU: Beta if you have decided only then it's ok
After sometime, Avu and Reem took their blessings and left.
