Dad and I currently walking under the forest. This land is his. Yeah, his parents bought this for him a long time ago. I just really love listening to histories a lot. Katulad nung the night of reunion na kahit pa ilang ulit ko nang naririnig ang Hunting experience ni Dad ay nakikinig at nakikinig pa din ako.

I got my first gun when I turned 22. You can legally get one when you are about 21 and has permits.

Ruger 10/22 Rifle yung dala ni Dad.

Remington Model 700 in 30-06 Springfield — is mine naman.

We usually hunt in a very legal way possible but one rule is absolutely the most important. Do not point your gun to ant a civilian. But yeah, since hunting now is different from the old days. Dad and I just put target boards from afar.  But we still call it Hunting ni Dad. Just our thing. At least, this way. We connect.

"So, any boyfriend?" Dad asked.

I tried shooting again and again while he still talks.

"Nope. Don't have one." Sabi ko.

"Huh— silly." He commented. "Well, that's good. You might want another arrange marriage?"

"Yeah, someone useful naman masyado, Dad. I got standards when it comes to business."

He laughed when I said those words.

I don't believe in love.

Maybe because Dad taught me to become independent? Or maybe I inherited some of his genes na 'ayaw ng commitment'. Napangiti ako deep inside.

Dennis was fine.

Si Dennis naman talaga first kong ka-arrange marriage. I didn't have a boyfriend ever since. Yung magugustahan  ko talaga. Wala e, I have a PMS. Pissed at Men Syndrome.

"What kind of man are you looking for exactly?" Sabi ni Dad. Alam ko naman na gusto na ni Dad ng grandchildren. He never has one pa kasi si Ramir puro sex lang ang alam sa buhay. Walang plano na magkaroon ng family. Well, magkapatid nga talaga kami.

None of Dad's children has a baby na. He prayed for Grandchildren na. Pero it's wrong to ask for it from me. Kasi malabo pa yun mangyari. Too busy. Too lazy.

"Someone exciting," I said.

"Huh— what a standard. You want  a clown?" Dad said as a joke. He laughed again aiming the target with his gun. I aimed at mine too. We're meters away from the Target pero medyo nagtatago kami sa forest to make it more exciting.

"Seriously, Dad. Someone who is good at guns too. Someone intelligent in a way that our interests are inline."

"Want a gangster? Mafia? Army?" Sabi ni Dad.

"Army for the family? I don't plan to become a single mother in the future, Dad. Drop it."

"Well if he's a good fighter, he might live for you." Sabi pa niya. I fire a shot. And Dad did too. "Bad boy ba gusto mo?"

"Not specifically a bad boy. Someone who is good with words and action." Sabi ko and a scene just went through my mind.

"We're just having sex. You don't have to know my name."

Damn that motherfcker. Naalala ko na naman siya. He knows me and I don't even have any idea kung sino siya and how he figured Dennis is going out with a drug dealer is still a mystery for me.

What am I thinking?

I missed the target habang napapaisip ako. I focus on the target and concentrated.

"Got one for you. I think you may like him."

"Basta. Ideal men are not easy to find. Might as well stick to those standards na dapat mahal ka talaga." Sabi ko.

"Still want the Arrangements?" Dad asked, firing a shot again.

"Well, if it's for business. Sure."

"Okay. Have you heard about SAN Company?" Sabi ni Dad. "Let's go home."

SAN Company?

Another arrange marriage.

"Yeah, I heard. It's a big one." Sabi ko. "What's the name?"

"Well, I have met him a few times whenever I go for shareholder meetings. He is investing in a lot of different companies. Smart kid." Sabi niya.

Naglalakad na kami pabalik sa kotse namin.

"Wow. I can't believe you did a background check for him?" Sabi ko pa habang nilagay ko na sa safety bag ang guns namin.

"He motorbikes. Hmm, he seems kind of playful but serious. A dark aura, he possessed that too. Diba yun ang type mo?" Hell. Dad is really good at tagalog na. Slang lang palagi kapag nag-tatagalog siya.

"Okay, Dad."

"Meet him next week. His name is Andre Sandross."
