#A3Gunshot

Dennis to go down from his CEO position because of the hot controversy

I turned off my phone after I read the articles about Dennis. My engagement with him was called off late. Kaya marami sa mga investors ko ang nawala.

My secretary called me to attend the meeting for today kasi a-attend si Dad.

A big embarrassment.

I prepared myself na pumunta sa office ko. I know all of these people hate my guts. Kasi I have never been a good owner and a CEO.

The meeting goes on.

And it is just mainly about our company going down with sales and everything. One thing is for sure, I hated business. Enjoying it seems more appealing to me. But the responsibility isn't my forte at all.

After the meeting, Dad told me to go hunting with him.

Even if wala ako sa mood, I had to. Dad had always been so good. Might as well obey.

Habang naglalakad kami sa forest. Finding a place where we can set up our target boards.

He finally talked.

Kasi ramdam ko naman na hindi Hunting ang purpose dito. He just needs to talk to me.

"Alyrani..." He started.

Nasa likoran niya lang ako nakabuntot habang naglalakad. He suddenly stopped when he started to talk.

"Andre Sandross will be a good help to you." Sabi niya.

Napataas ang kilay ko.

"Yeah," I said.

"Marry him." He said. Eyeing me.

"Okay," I said.

Napatingin si Dad sa akin ng maiigi pagkatapos kong sinabi na "Okay."

"No boyfriend? Or any violent reaction?" He asked.

I laughed.

"Dad, I don't do that," I said.

And I remembered Dustin.

He sighed.

"You are just like Ramir." My half-brother. "But I hope you and Ramir could find a greater chance to love someone whom you really love."

Napatingin ako kay Dad.

"But this business partnership thing doesn't bother me at all kasi I could file up a divorce naman after everything gets better." Sabi ko.

Dad pats my shoulder.

"You shouldn't be like me, Alyrani. Love someone. Love like you are in the middle of battle. Love like you everything about love." Sabi niya. Which was so rare.

"Dad, what's up with you?" Sabi ko.

"Getting old is real. Getting old sucks, yes. But getting old is a gift. And hey, I am telling you it could be better when you grow old with someone." Sabi niya pa. Nagulat ako sa mga pinagsasabi ni Dad.

"You are in the middle of arranging a marriage for me to save my company but you are also advising me to love someone."

He just laughed.

"That's my girl. Now, come along. We got a long target to shoot." Sabi niya.

We laughed and laughed until we are done with our hunting hobby. Pauwi na kaming naglalakad pabalik sa kotse namin.

Dad was behind me.

We were giggling while walking kasi maraming jokes na sinasabi si Dad.

"I never thought you grabbed a bullet under my desk when you were like 1 year old. That's when I thought, 'oh boy, my daughters gonna be a real hunter' I was right!"

I laughed again.

"I love you for that." Sabi ni Dad.

"Love you too." Sabi ko.

Naglalakad lang kami ng naglalakad when I heard a gunshot. Napatakip ako sa tenga ko when the gunshot was so near to us.

"Dad, did you heard that?" I asked and turned around.

My smile fades when I saw him spitting blood.

Kaagad napatumba si Dad while I ran to him to catch him pero I was late.

"DAD!"

He groaned in pain when he was shot sa chest area. I wasn't sure kung saan ang gunshot when his body is already covered in blood. Nagsilabasan ang luba sa mga mata ko nang makita ko kung paano nanghina si Dad.

He smiled when he looked up in the sky.

He even smiled while cupping my cheeks.

"Love."

"Dad, no!!!!!"

His eyes grow tired.

I dialed the emergency number pero walang signal. I cried when Dad smiled at me one more time. I saw how he lost his life.

"DAD, NO!!!!!!" I shouted. "No. No. No. Don't leave me! No!" I sobbed.

Nakarinig ako ng mga yapak na papalapit.

My senses got sensitive all of a sudden. My hands that are covered with blood and are trembling at the same time grabbed a gun that we used for the hunt.

Napatingin ako sa paligid.

I took a sharp breath.

And when I saw who it was...

Nanghina ako.

"Alyrani?" He asked.

I gulped.

Napatingin si Dustin sa Dad ko, he looks so shocked. But an idea hits my mind. And I didn't hesitate to point the gun at him.
