#A3Suicidal

Dustin made sure na may pagkain ako habang nagmamaneho pa siya sa kotse. Yep, nag-aadjust siya dahil ayaw niyang mag-motor knowing na buntis ako. Ang OA niya pa din.

Tahimik lang akong kumakain habang papunta na kami sa sinasabi niyang Gangster's cave. Ang OA.

"Buti at tahimik ka." He commented.

"Hello? I am not loud."

"Maarte ka kaya." Sabi niya. "You are so focused on details. Nakakairita." Sabi niya.

"Alam mo Dustin, you are being insulting na." Sabi ko. Bakit ang sensitive ko?

Oh my god. Bakit ako naiiyak?

"Oo, ang arte mo noon. Tapos, ayaw mong ganito at ganyan—" sabi niya pero naiyak na ako. Like literally my tears are just flowing na.

Napansin kong hininto ni Dustin ang sasakyan.

"Rani?" Sabi niya. He cupped my face. He hugged me. He pats my back. He kissed my forehead. Ganito ba talaga si Dustin?

Ang OA.

"Sorry sa sinabi ko. I thought I made you laugh." Sabi niya. He sounds apologetic pero he still looks like he is frowning. Wala bang uso sa change of expression for Dustin? Wala talaga.

Bihira yung moments na tatawa siya at ngingiti.

"Ewan ko kung bakit sensitive ako today." Sabi ko. "Don't play with me."

"Kaya ka pala nagbago nuh, you were pregnant. I heard Jacob kasi na naawa sayo while you're trapped with the news reporters the last time. Remember?"

Ah, yun ba.

Sensitive din ako that day.

Buntis na pala.

"Oo..."

"Kaya I wonder kung bakit hindi ka lumaban. You are always strong-spirited kasi. Straight forward tapos nakakatakot." Sabi niya.

"So, takot ka sa akin?" Sabi ko.

He laughed. See? Saan ang nakakatawa dun? Ang weird niya.

"Nope. Okay ka na ah. Wag ka na iyak, baby." Sabi niya and continued driving. I fought the urge to roll my eyes after he called me Baby.

Nakarating kami sa isang familiar na lugar. The forest is horribly familiar. Maraming puno tapos may be one abandoned-looking house.

"They're here?" I asked.

Nagmamadali siyang lumabas para pagbuksan ako ng pinto. The door opened and I walked together with Dustin.

"I think I know this place." Sabi ko. Pero Dustin chooses to ignore what I said.

Nagpunta na kami sa loob and what I saw was kind of surprising. The guy I met sa the Grocery store ay andito.

"Hi!" Sabi nung guy.

"It's Jacob. We've met already." Sabi niya. Napatango nalang ako. Dustin made his way towards the other rooms in this big modernized house na sobrang luma sa labas tignan. A good hideout. Hmm.

Napatingin ako sa mga tao sa isang big sala. Doon mayroon akong nakitang babaeng nurse? She looks familiar. I think I saw her sa hospital.

My memory is so good.

"This is Bhryle, our leader," Jacob said. Where is Dustin?

Nakatayo lang ako habang nakaupo naman comfortably ang nga tao sa loob ng bahay. I find it awkward pero taas noo naman akong nagpapakilala sa kanila. Dustin came back with a glass of water. Wow, I am impressed. A gentleman.

Napatingin ulit ako sa paligid when Bhryle talked.

"Hi, Uhm, I think this is the first time Dustin has ever brought a girl here. It's Bhryle by the way."

"Kasi usually si Novel and Bhryle lang ang mahilig magdala ng mga babae dito." Sabay nung isa na naglalaro ng phone niya. Like he is literally throwing his phone and catching it like a pro. "It's Meg by the way." He said.

I just smiled.

"Alyrani Hodler. Nice to meet you." I eyed everyone in this room.

"Novel and Elsie probably having a physical meal. Kaya late." Sabat ni Meg. Is he this frank and playful? Kasi mukha nga.

"Ohoy, biglang liko ba?" Magsy said and all of the boys laughed except the nurse.

Well, they look decent.

So they're gangsters?

"Hi, I'm Amelie Sandross." Sabi niya.

Sandross?

"Hi. I'm sorry have we met before?" I asked.

Napailing siya.

"I cant remember. Pero you do look familiar." Sabi niya. Ang angelic ng boses niya. She looks so much like an angel. Bagay sila ni Bhryle.

I saw Dustin grabbing some weapons displayed sa corner ng bahay na to. I noticed. Marami silang knives tapos mga guns. I spotted some guns under the chairs, tiles na may secret cabin. Since I grow up with guns, alam ko din kung paano maghanap ng nga cheat weapons na anytime magagamit mo for dangerous situations.

Lahat sila napatingin kay Dustin na tinapon ang kutsilyo sa harap ni Meg. Yes, Dustin throws a knife to where Meg is seated. Tumama iyon sa wall na nasa likoran lang ni Meg.

Meg wasn't even surprised!

I never thought he could be this good. I can't believe I laughed at the thought of him being a gangster. He was so freaking serious!

Dustin nodded and the rest continued with their thing.

"My god. I still can't get over with Dustin." Rinig kong sabi ni Amelie. Naputol pala conversation namin kanina.

"Why?"

"He never told you?" She said. Yeah, that is why I asked.

Napailing ako.

"Bhryle and I have been watching closely to Dustin after nung nangyari before. I'm sorry. I am not actually this talkative po." Ang cute ni Amelie.

"No, it's fine."

"Kasi after Dustin saved my brother, he has been so off na kasi. Like, depressed. Left out. Tapos palaging galit."

Napatango nalang ako sa mga naririnig ko. Isn't that just Dustin's personality? 

"Why? What is going on between him and your brother?"

"There's nothing going on. Pero this gang plays an important role kasi in secret. They chase bad guys. But Dustin usually goes on solo missions. Kaya palaging naiinis si Bhryle kasi dapat with the team diba para team work. I'm sorry. I am not usually this talkative pero naninibago lang ako na may babae dito except Elsie."

I nodded. "Uhm, yeah. Go on."

"Yeah. He always saves people. Pero this gang doesn't want to be acknowledged din kasi. They want to hide as much as possible."

"Why? I mean I get it naman. Kasi earlie palang sinabi ni Dustin na may gang pala siya. I even took it as a joke."

She smiled.

"It won't be a joke. This gang? It's Dustin's only family."

Only family.

Ang dami kong walang alam kay Dustin.
 
"He has been so suicidal for a while kaya ang hirap i-monitor kung okay lang ba siya."

Napakunot ako ng noo.
