Chapter 13

#A3Suicidal

"Alyrani, wait!" Dustin shouted.

He was in his black man suit. Blackcaps, black leather jacket, black mask, black everything. His eyes were wide opened.

Kinabahan ako habang itinututok ko sa kanya ang baril ko. Dad isn't even breathing anymore. Dad is gone.

"I was following someone." He said. Reaching his hands to come near me. My eyes are full of tears. Hindi ko na maiintindihan ang sarili ko. I have the urge to kill myself right now.

In this wide-open forest, Dad and I out for hunting. Those evil shareholders sa mga company would make me a suspect here. It's just how life works.

"Did that someone shoot my Dad?" Sabi ko. I slowly put down the gun I was holding.

Napatulala ako ng ilang sandali.

"Maybe. I— I don't know. He went right here. I didn't notice at all. Hindi ko din alam na andito ka pala." Sabi niya.

"He's gone." Sabi ko habang nakatingin lang sa kawalan.

Dustin was still there. Standing five feet apart.

He was being careful.

Napatingin din siya sa paligid.

"What's his name?" Sabi ko.

"What?"

"What is that asshole's name?" I asked.

"I don't know." He answered. "He has a camera. He took photos of our gangs having a meeting. It's a private business." He explained. "And it's my job to keep 'em closer."

Napatingin ako sa kanya.

"Does this cameraman has a gun?" I asked.

Itinutok ko ulit ang gun ko kay Dustin.

He clenched his jaw.

"My dad is dead!" I cried. "My dad is dead! You fuck!" I pulled the trigger aiming it to the sky.

"Alyrani, calm down!" Sabi niya.

"No. You may be a gangster but you don't have a brain." Sabi ko. Para na akong nahihilo sa sobrang inis na. Tapos umiiyak na parang nababaliw. "They'll arrest me for this. They'll suspect me for this. And given the fact that I am a bitch person they might really try to sabotage the whole criminal thing just to shove me down the dark hole." I said. "Sabi ko sayo diba? I am Alyrani Hodler and you don't fucking know me! You know nothing about me! They'll want any single small detail just to go against me. Kasi they hated me. They hated my whole existence. I don't give a fuck about those fucking companies but I do care about the facts."

Dustin throws his hands up.

"Put the gun down first."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko.

I sound crazy now.

I even acted crazy.

Para na akong nababaliw matapos nang nangyari.

I laughed.

I cried.

I laughed again.

I saw Dustin growing closer.

"Stay back."

"Put the gun down, Rani." He said.

My smile fades when I think of something marvelous. My anxiety hits me. My brain started to make myself harmed.

I want to die.

In a split second, I pointed my gun to my head. Dustin's reaction was a total horror.

"Alyrani, no!"

He jumped right at me before I could pull the trigger.

Napahiga ako habang nasa ibabaw ko si Dustin. He took the gun and throw it. Nang maka-realize naman ako sa pinaggagawa ko ay napatakip ako sa bibig ko.

I cried.

"Dad..." I groaned.

Closing my eyes because it hurts knowing that Dad has died.

While I cried my heart out, Dustin was still there on top of me. Watching me. He hugged me. I punched his chest several times to let out my anger.

"You will not be treated as a suspect. Kasi andito ako. I'll stand as a witness. We'll catch that person. I'll catch him for sure, Rani."  He promised.
