I opened my eyes to see my room very darkened.

"Why couldnt I just wake up in the morning", I thought to myself

I check my phone to look at all the messages I got from people.

Mekai: hey. i heard what happened u good? ~ 11:56 am

Aniya: you ok? ~ 1:15 pm

Tania: I'm outside ~ 3:01 pm

"So I guess he's not going to check up on me", I said as I got up from my bed.

I turned on my lights and sat back down on my bed. I opened my phone and went to my contacts to scroll down to " Day ONE ".

Mekai

I was about to finish my last two sentences from my homework when my phone started to ring.

I answered the phone and put Tre on speaker.

"Hello", he said.

"You good, tre", I said as I continued to write down my sentence.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just need a distraction right now", he said.

"You want me to come over", I asked.

"Yea", he said.

"Ok, I'm coming", I said as I put my homework back in my bag.

"Ok, bye", he said before he hung up the phone.

I went downstairs to grab some Doritos for myself.

"I'm coming right back mom", I told her while she was watching RHOA.

"Ok, Mekai", she said before I closed the door.

I got into my car and started to drive towards his house.

"I should go to the bodega and see if they had his favorites", I said to myself

I made a U-turn and drove to the corner store.

I knocked on the door to see if anybody was home.

After a few seconds I knocked on the door again.

Then I heard something coming from the upstairs window.

They opened it and looked at me then put their head back in and closed the window.

Mekai

I walked into the store and started to look around for the honey barbecue chips he be eating on. I started to scramble around the chips to find the exact one.

Then I found it and went to the drinks aisle to get the Arizona mango juice.

"Wassup, Mekai", said a familiar voice.
