"M-MEKAAIII", I yelled as I started to tap on his shoulder. My eyes opened widely at what I am experiencing.
Mekai was driving at 55 mph since it is the highway.
The car that was about a half a mile away was on the wrong side and was facing towards us.
Then the car that was in front of us swerved at the last second for us to not see where the car was.
So Mekai tried to go to the next lane but a truck was there. It was either to crash into the truck or to go off road and hope not to flip over.
So at the last second,he pressed on the brakes and move the steering wheel to the left so he doesnt crash and he just goes off road.
We spun around twice when we were not on the highway. I was holding onto Mekai's hand tightly and was wishing for the best for us.
When we stopped spinning, I looked at him with wide eyes.
"A-are you ok", I asked in disbelief. I started to feel on his chest. And it was beating rapidly.
Then he just looked at me in shock.
"um.. y-yes", he finally got out.
Their was silence in the car until I looked over at the highway as a car crashed into the car that we almost crashed in to.
"Oh my god", I said as I put my hand against my mouth.
"We gotta get outta here before I have to pay anything. I dont got money like that", Mekai said in a low voice.
"So you gotta push the car while I drive", I said as I am bouncing my leg up and down.
"Ok", he said before opening the car door.
I went over to the driver seat. I pulled down my window so I could here Mekai.
"Tell me when to press on the gas", I said.
"Go now", he said immediately.
I push on the gas slightly and it wasnt moving.
So I pushed on it a little more. Then I started to go forward.
I drived towards a slope that was easy to get up on so we can get back in the highway. We can't take the local way because to get to the Bronx you have to go on a bridge.
"We are good", I said before jumping back into the passenger seat.
"Great job", he said as he got back in the car.
He then drove up the hill and we were back on the road.
"Woo", I said as I put my hand up.
He connected his hands with mines for an high-five.
Then I grabbed my phone from the drink holder to call Tania.
When I dialed her number, it ringed only twice before she answered.
"Hello", she said.
"Yea, we almost got into a collision", I said still in shock.
"WHAT", she yelled threw the phone.
"Yea. But we are safe. We just went off road", I explain
"You was not scared", she said.
"Yes it was traumatic. But we are safe now. We are not damage nor the car is so we are fine", I said.
"Ok, as long yall are fine", she said.
"We are going over the bridge now", I said.
"Ok,bye", she said.
Mekai started to drive to right to get off the exit.
"Dont worry", he said to me out of nowhere.
"What do you mean", I said.
"You know what I mean. You get anxious every single time you about to or when you are in a confrontation, arguement, or in a serious topic you dont like to talk about", he explained.
Damn this nigga knows alot.
"You right, I dont like arguing nor fighting. I try to be the peace maker if their is a situation I think could be resolved", I said.
"So what do you think about this scenario", he said as he drove off the exit.
"I feel like I wanna punch him in his fucking face", I said. Then Mekai started to laugh.
"No like deadass", I said.
"I know", he said.
"Serious question", he said as he stopped at a red light.
"What's up", I said.
"Are you nervous to see him after what he has told you threw the phone", he asked. "Reason why I'm asking because you are very sensitive in the inside but you really dont show it on the outside".
"I'm not nervous. I'm just disappointed and disgusted", I said. He then pressed on the pedal to start driving.
"Yea", he said as he turned left.
"If you hear stuff flying out of my mouth, just dont be surprised", I said.
"Fine by me", he said. Then he turned right to go into the school parking lot.
As we pulled up, I see all of them just standing there with their pajamas on or their lazy clothes on.
They were on their phone until we pulled up in front of them.
I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the car.
"Hey Tre", said all of them in sync.
"Hi guys", I said as I closed the door.
"You ok", Devan asked.
"Yeah, imma be fine", I said.
"What he did is soo fucking wrong on soo many levels", Aniya said before she hugged me.
"I know, I know", I said listening to their sorrow.
Then I see a familiar car pulling up to the parking lot.
I turned around and act like nothing was happening by waving my hands at him with a big fake ass smile.
"Just go with the flow", I whispered to them.
Then he turned off his engine. He got out of his car and closed the door behind him.
"Heyyy Jalen", I said as I put my hands up in the air.
"H-hey trevon", he said. "What's going on here", he asked.
"So basically", I said in a happy tone. "You thought that I wasnt going to find out about yo mother fucking scandal and you will be off the the hook b", I said in my New York accent.
