I continued walking upstairs until I saw Jalen on his phone.

"Hey, Tre", he said as I got off the steps.

"Hey, jay", I said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

Then I smelt some bath and body works when I put my head on his chest.

"Why you smell like that", I asked before I let go of him.

"What do you mean", he said speaking fast.

" I smell some Bath and Body works perfume when I hugged you", I exclaim.

"Oh, that's was from my friend, I asked her for some lotion to put on my elbows, face and neck because I was ashy", he said.

"But you weren't ashy when you was in class", I said.

"I got it from her when I saw her applying it on herself" he said.

"Oh ok", I said rolling my eyes.

"Anyways, why you made me to come here", I asked.

"Oh, since I'm still on punishment, I couldn't take you back to my house. From before I was suppose to see my friend  at this apartment right here", he said as he pointed at one of the doors.

"But we could have went somewhere to eat", I said."Jalen, imma ask you this one question", I continued.

"What the fuck is going on", I said.

"What do you mean Tre", he asked.

"It seems like you making all these fake ass scenarios", I said as I cross my arms.

"I'm not making up nothing, I'm just telling you what happened", he said.

"So why did I see Kianna walking down the fucking stairs when I was coming up", he asked

oh shit.

"I dont fucking know, Trevon that's none of my fucking business", I lied.

"You sure about that cause this bitch was looking drastic with her hair poking out like the fucking IT clown" I said.

I was pulling her hair back thats all.

"And you look drained the fuck out", he stated.

"Nigga are you cheating" he asked as he pushed me.

"What the fuck you talking about. You making all these fucking assumptions and observations like your fucking Bill Nye the Science Guy. Like I didnt do nothing to you", I said.

"You sure bout that", he said as he started tearing up.

"Yes, I wouldn't do nothing to hurt yo lil cute ass" I said in a calming voice.

Then he started crying.

"I'm sorry Jalen. I dont want you to be mad at me. It just takes me a very long time to trust someone".

"Its fine. You have the right to question all of my actions.", I whispered.

"What you said"he said.

"I just said, it is fine to feel how you feel", I said.

I pulled him into a hug.

"Can I get some Auntie Anne's", he asked.

"Anything you want", I said.

Then we walked down the stairs and exited the building.
