It was a normal day. I was playing online video games in my room with my friends, Midori and Kiri, which I had recently found out that one of them might be my soulmate. All of a sudden, I heard my mom yelling for me from downstairs.
Mom:"Honey, can you come down here we need to talk!"
"Sure thing mom!" I yelled. "Gotta go guys, my mom is calling me." I took my headset off and laid it on my bed.
As I came down, I saw that my mom looked nervous. "What's up?", I asked." She said, "Sweety, we're moving to Japan"
"WHAT?!"
"I know it's a lot to take in, but your dad's job was is being transferred to Japan and we have to move." "When are we leaving!?", I asked.
She hesitated, "Actually, when your dad gets home we are going to fly over to look at apartments. How about you go pack for the weekend" "Wow, ok mom, I'll go get ready."
I turned and slowly walked back upstairs. How was I going to explain this to my friends? But it's not like I have a choice. Sigh.
As I walked back into my room, I just sat on my bed and stared at the wall. I heard Midori say, " HELLO, So are you going to tell us what's up?" I picked up the headset and put it on.
"You'll never believe what my mom just told me" Kiri spoke up, "What's up Faith?" "I'm moving to Japan!", I answered.
Midori yelled, "What!?! That's awesome! That's where I live!!"
"Me too!", Said Kiri, "This is gonna be awesome!"
They both started talking excitedly about all the different places they wanted me to see and friends they wanted me to meet. I smiled, maybe moving wouldn't be so bad after all.
Time skip~ *When we got to Japan*
Mom" Let's get settled into the hotel first and then I'll take you to see your Uncle Shota (it atuocorrected to shots😂)"
" Cool, thanks mom!"
Hours later~
As I got out of the car, I saw my uncle come out his door. I grinned. "Uncle Shota!!", I yelled, and ran to give him a hug.
"Hey squirt. Good to see you!", hugging me back. I love his big bear hugs.
"How's Uncle Hizashi?", I asked. He chuckled. "He's fine. He and Hitoshi should be here soon. You know them, they are always being braty"
I laughed. Then I heard a car pull into the drive. I turned and saw my uncle and cousin getting out of the car. I hadn't seen them in forever. I looked at my mom and smiled. I think this is starting to feel more like home.
