I woke up in the car. I'm confused. "Are we not there yet?" I asked Uncle Shota. He sighed. "I decided it would be a bad idea for you to explore your memories right now. You have so much going on, I feel that you might be too overwhelmed. So instead, I am giving you a special bracelet that I made for your mother. As long as you are wearing it, you cannot use your abilities. You can take it off while in training, but you need to wear it for the rest of the time."

"For how long?" I asked. He sighed. "Until I am sure that it is safe, little one." We pulled up to a hotel. "Do you trust me, Faith?"

"Sure, you're my favorite uncle."
He grinned. "Don't tell Mic and Toshi that, they do get jealous." Then he handed me some money and said, "Do you see that restaurant next door?"
I nodded. "Good. I want you to order something for yourself. Anything you would like. Then wait for me there. I have a little bit of business to attend to, and then I will join you."

I looked at the amount of money he had given me. "Do you want me to order something for you too?" I asked. He shook his head no. "That's just for you. Enjoy." I squealed and headed for the restaurant.

This place is awesome. I ate to my heart's content. Especially dessert. I LOVE dessert. I was just finishing up, wondering how much longer Uncle Shota would be when a man slid into the seat across from me. I looked up and saw blue, no turquoise, eyes and shivered. Why do I feel so uneasy? It's like my heart could just jump right out of my chest.

"Hello child." The man said. Okay, even the voice creeps me out. Where have I heard that voice before?

"I saw you arrive with Sensei Aizawa, how is my old friend," He asked.
"He's fine." I replied.
He nodded. "Very good. Very good. And you are?"
"I'm his niece, Anderson Faith. I just started high school this year and he's helping me."
"Ah. You must be Kevin and Annie's little girl. I can see the resemblance."

Why does that feel like an insult? I bristled. "I am. What's it to you?"
"Oh, they're just old friends. I haven't seen them in a long time. I wanted to express my condolences for what happened to your sister." He chuckled.

I wanted to hurt him. I wanted to see him suffer. My arm started burning. I looked down and saw that my bracelet was fiery red. I reached to take it off. Let's see if he can laugh without lips.

He stood up and said, "Don't forget to tell your uncle hello for me." Then he walked towards the back door. I wanted to go after him, but I saw Uncle Shota coming in the front, and I decided not to get myself into too much trouble.

I took a deep breath and willed myself to calm down. By the time Uncle Shota reached me, I was feeling almost normal. He smiled and sat down. "So what do you recommend?" I gave him my suggestion and decided to forget about the stupid idiot that just left.

* Out in the back alley, turquoise eyes shimmered as he made the call. "You were right," he said. "I got the wrong one. This one is much, much better. I'll transfer the money into your account."
He hung up and said to himself, "Now I just need a way to keep an eye on her.".                             *
