We were walking to her parents studio. The girl said, "We haven't introduced ourselves have we? I'm Jiro Kyoka" She stuck her hand out to me. "I'm Anderson Faith" I said, and shook her hand I was glad to make a new friend? I'm not really good at making friends.
When we reached the studio, Jiro opened the door and yelled to her mom that she was home. Oh no. Mom. I looked at my phone. Wow. That's a lot of calls and texts. I typed a quick text. "Sorry. I'm fine. I met someone and we are at her parents music studio." I didn't even wait to see if she responded. I just stuck my phone back in my pocket.
Jiro asked if everything was okay. "Yeah," I said. " I just needed a break from my parents. They have made a lot of changes lately and I just..." I shrugged. Jiro nodded. "I understand. Parents can just be such ... Parents." We both laughed.
A woman walked in from a back room and smiled at Jiro. " So how was school?" "Normal day. Denki' pulled a prank on Professor Magnamere again. It was epic. I'll tell you all about it, later." Her eyes darted to me and back to her mom. "Bye the way Mom, this is Anderson Faith. I met her at the park on the way home from school."
Her mom nodded. She turned to me and smiled. "So, I haven't seen you in here before. Have you just moved in the neighborhood." "In the process, I guess. My dad's job moved. We haven't quite found our place yet." "Finding our place in this world is one of the most important tasks we can face. I wish you luck." A phone rang in the back room. "Excuse me." And she went to go answer it.
Jiro and I were looking at all the music selections and talking about which bands have the best guitarist. I personally like the classics. I saw her mom lean back in the room with the phone in her hand. She looked at me quizzically and started talking on the phone and went back in, closing the door behind her.
I looked at the clock on the wall. Wow, it's getting late. I'd better go. I started to tell Jiro that I needed to leave when the front door opened and my dad walked in. Oh boy. By the look on his face, I'm totally in for it.
