I can't believe the last two weeks have flown by. I take one last look in the mirror before heading out. It's different wearing a uniform. But I kinda like it.

I get my backpack and run downstairs and grab a pop tart and my water bottle and head out. Dad has walked me to the subway station a couple of times so I could learn the route. I flash the driver my pass and find a seat.

Before long, it's my stop. When I finally get to the school, I take a deep breath. It's bigger than I thought it would be. I'm trying to get the courage to actually walk in when I hear beside me a soft, "Hi Faith."

I turn and see Kyoka Jiro. "My mom explained your situation to me. I have been waiting for you to get here. I thought you could use a friend." She said.

I grab her in a hug. "Thank you." She grins, "No problem. As long as you admit that Deep Dope is better than Guns and Roses."

I pull back and laugh, "Never. So, are you going to show me around or what?"

We walk in chatting and laughing. I show her my schedule, and she explains where all the classrooms are. Then she says, "But this is the most important room of all."

As we walk through the door, I realize that this is the cafeteria. I look at her and grin. Great minds think alike.

The first bell rings, so I tell her that we'd better head to the first class. It would be bad to be late on my first day. As we start walking down the hall, I accidentally bump into someone. I turn to apologize and see bright yellow eyes. I know I'm staring, but I can't seem to stop. The eyes flash with amusement. "Better stop staring little bunny and hop along to class."

Kyoka busts out laughing. I just know that my face is fire engine red. I take off for the classroom and quickly find a seat. I lay my head on the desk and take a deep breath. In my head, I'm scolding myself for embarrassing myself on the very first day.

I hear a soft chuckle beside me. "Isn't this interesting."

I look up. There sitting next to me is the blonde hair, yellow eyed boy from the hall. Oh no. He grins a slow grin. "This is going to be fun." He says.
