Bnha ship opinions because why not

Shigadeku

Imma be honest here; for all my love of rival ships, I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around this one. It's just so wrong-feeling that I can't properly consider it, and my mind isn't letting me explore the idea. It's like Harry Potter X Voldemort, so fundamentally wrong that it makes no sense. I don't think it's because of villain x hero, it's because their goals, opinions and ideals are so different that it's infathomable to even imagine them as friends.

Even if Shigaraki somehow joined the heros' side, he and Deku's personalities and justifications for their actions are so different that it's hard to imagine them feeling anything towards each other. Maybe the pull of opposition, but I just can't really see it.

Well, I thought about it, and came up with one plausible scenario that would, in my mind, justify the ship.

What if Deku was manipulated by Shigaraki to become a villain?

I've grown to be kind of intrigued by the idea of villain Deku, and despite his impatience and childishness, Shigaraki scored very high intelligence-wise when he was at school. So, intrigued by Deku's feirce loyalty and passion, Shigaraki might attempt to reach him in his darkest moment and bring him over. Now, I don't think Deku would be easily convinced because of his pure intentions and neverending spirit, but bitterness can do things to people. If, say, he was rejected by All Might, he might allow that anger to fester, and might be more vulnerable to Shigaraki's manipulation. If Deku wound up a part of the LoV because of this, I can see a ship there.

But that's all a hypothetical situation my brain created. In canon, I can't see this ship being plausible personally, but that's just me.
