Ok, starting this rabbit hole.
This is also going to be a very short chapter, I don't know why I waited a day to do it.
I don't think there's that much going for this ship, but I don't by any means dislike it. It's not a super creative dynamic, the dumbass boyfriend and affectionately teasing girlfriend, but they work well together and a relationship between them wouldn't really surprise anyone. It makes sense.
It's a little reminiscent of Kirimina, but I think they actually work as a romance unit better than as friends. I'm not saying I don't like them as friends, because I'm equally happy with that, I can just see them becoming more, unlike the other ship.
I don't love this ship with a passion or anything, and in the fandom I think Jirou's way too boring for my best boi Denki, but as a canon relationship, it works and I won't be disappointed if they're canon. It feels, in some ways, like the most realistic relationship in the series, and I kind of like that.

All right, so before I do the fanart reel, I'd like to quickly talk about something that's cone to my attention before that I just haven't brought up. It has little to nothing to do with this ship, I just wanted to talk about it at some point.
There's this really strange fanart trend, especially with ship art, that I don't understand at all. I see most of it with Todoroki, Deku or Bakugou ships, but I saw one while scrolling Kamijirou art and needed to say something. Let's take Kiribaku as an example. The best way I can describe it is like, the artist turned one of the characters, let's say Kirishima, into a baby or a small child and the other, maybe Bakugou, into an adult who is apparently the parent/guardian of the 'child'. I kid you not, I see this all the time, and it confuses me to no end. Here, I'll find one and put it here.
Why does this exist??
I also see art of a character turned into a young child just on their own, or both characters in a ship, which I also find weird, but that's a little different. I at least sort of get the creativity behind that, and some people's styles just work better for younger people. That's okay. But this is just so strange to me. If someone wanted to explain why it's appealing, I'd be down for that, but I just really wanted to talk about that because I think it's a little disturbing, even. It's like sexualizing little kids.
Anyway, onto the fanart reel. Sorry, just needed to get that out there.
