It was a Saturday when we decided to take a break.

Sam and I had taken about five days to track and kill a nasty nest of vampires. They were rooted very deeply in a small town in Ohio, and we had a very difficult time simply finding them.

When we had finally killed he last one, Sam and I were tired, bleeding, and just wanted to go home. We stood on our feet and breathed heavily, but I honestly just wanted to collapse onto a bed. Or into Cas's arms. I hadn't seen him in a week.

We drove about seventeen hours to get back home to the bunker. When we got inside, Sam went to his room and I didn't see him until the next morning. I assume he fell asleep and stayed asleep.

I wanted to go to sleep too, but I didn't want to get my bed dirty. So I took a shower, taking off my bloody, ripped clothes. I stood under the water and closed my eyes, sighing with relief. I ran my fingers through my hair and rinsed the dirt, sweat, and dried blood from my skin.

When I left the shower, I put on some boxers and finally collapsed onto my bed. I heard a quiet rustle somewhere behind me and opened my eyes to look. "Cas," I whispered.

"Hello, Dean," he replied, stepping towards me. "I just came to say goodnight."

I groaned a quiet, tired grumble. "Are you leaving?"

"I don't have to," He explained.

My eyes closed and I grumbled again. I beckoned him with one hand. "Come here, then," I said quietly. I listened as he took off his clothes and shoes. I turned to watch him as he raided my closet for sweatpants and a t-shirt. I got another peek at that glorious back of his.

Then he finally came over to me and laid down. He kissed me gently. "Good night, Dean," he whispered into my hair.

"I love you," I mumbled wrapping my arms loosely around his body, pressing my hands into his beautiful back. I fell asleep quickly, and if he replied, I didn't hear it. My body relaxed against his and I fell into a dream, well, a nightmare.

When I opened my eyes, it was Saturday morning. Cas was still next to me, my arms still loose around his waist. He was brushing his fingers through my hair, almost petting me. "Good morning, Dean," He said, putting his hand on the side of my face.

"Hey," I smiled and lifted myself up on my arms so I could look at him from above. I pressed my forehead against his. "How are you?"

"Tired," He grumbled. "Not physically, of course."

I chuckled. "Of course," I leaned into him and pecked his lips. He lifted his head, pressing into me, keeping me close for just another moment.

When we pulled away, I got out of bed and got dressed. He did the same, and I watched him, wishing I could touch every part of his beautiful body. I blew a breath out from my mouth, avoiding those thoughts so early in the morning.

We gathered in the kitchen, finding Sam tiredly eating some eggs. He looked up at us when we walked in, hand in hand. "Hey guys," he said quietly. "Are you really tired, too?"

Cas nodded, sitting at the table. I let go of his hand and made myself some cereal. "We should take a break," I suggested. "A little vacation or something."

"Sure," Sam nodded. "Where would you want to go?"

I smiled and sat next to Cas. "I know a place. A few places, actually."

We finished eating, and Sam and I got up to get our jackets. "Sam," Cas said quickly. "Can I talk to you?"

Sam left my side, nodding and sitting down. I gave Cas a concerned glance, you don't want to talk to me? But he gave me an assuring nod and smile. "It's okay, Dean," He said.
