RAIN ON ME

CHAPTER 3

I see someone I never wanted to see.
Noah Parker...

He's not facing me though, he was standing there looking into his phone.
I decide not to ruin my mood and go back in but then I see this lady link arms with him.

She's oddly familiar though....
No! Leona!! You idiot! She would be the last person to do that!

I mentally curse at myself for thinking that.

Looks like he's happy huh... nevermind Noah you'll regret..
I took one last glance at them and go in.

" What's wrong?" Alex asks me and I look at him confused

" Nothing why?"

" Nevermind. You seemed happy before..now you just like your faking it" he says looking at me right into my eyes. I blink a couple of times and breathe in sharply and look down at the table

" No I'm fine, thanks for asking" I say and he looks at me briefly before nodding.

We finish the food and leave the place in the car.

After a few minutes Alexa falls asleep in my arms, I wrap my coat around her so she doesn't get cold because of the air-conditioning.
" Leona?"

" Hmm?"

" I know you understood when I called you bambolina ." He says looking at me and then back at the road.
I cover my face with my hands and look towards the window
" No I didn't..." I say I a low voice and hear his chuckle.

Alex's pov

We finally reach the Leona's place.
" We're here" I say but I get no response.

I remove my seatbelt and look at Leona,
Seems like she fell asleep too.

Like mother like daughter.

I get off the car and go to her side and open the door. I smile at how cute she looks.

I gently tap her shoulder but she just wriggles so I try again but with more force.
" Fuck off...dude..let me...sleep.."
She mutters in a sleepy voice.

I scoff at her behaviour.
Such a wild woman!!

" Leona!! Wake up!" I say and she moves a little.
What does she do to sleep like that!!

" LEONA ROMANO!! WAKE UP FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!!" I yell and she slowly opens her eyes rubbing them

" Why are you so loud...mhm.." she says adjusting her eyes to the light by blinking. Her eyes widen when notices i was standing there.

" Oh god Alex oh..oh my I'm so sorry...." She says getting up picking Alexa.

" Thank you for dropping me Alex, besides thankyou for being sweet to Alexa." She says with a warm smile and I nod.

" Your neighborhood is a bit dangerous, I noticed it doesn't have cctvs and street lamps." I say and she nods smiling

" Yeah it's a bit silent too that's why I like it, the last apartment I lived in, the ladies around used to gossip about me, and Alexa was very small back then, I didn't want her to get influenced by those people." I nod understanding

" Yeah, though you should file a complaint for the street lamps atleast."

" I will, thanks." She says walking towards the door but then turns around
