RAIN ON ME

CHAPTER 18

The family event day.

" Is it really okay?" I ask one last time to Kabir and Vivian if I could let Alexa stay with them for the night.

Both of them sigh together.

" For god's sake Leona it's been the 100th time you're asking us this Alexa is like our daughter we'll take care of her, you should go to the party." Vivian says and Kabir nods.

" That's it, now go have some fun not too much though." Kabir says and I smile nodding. He's always been so sweet to me, he's perfect for Vivian.

I crouch down to Alexa's level and caress her hair while she smiles at me.
" Be a good-" I say but she cuts me off

" Be a good girl Alexa don't trouble them okay?" She says and I smile kissing her forehead.

" That's right baby. I'll see you later hmm?" I say and she nods cutely before wrapping her tiny arms around me.

After dropping her at Vivian's place I go back to mine to get ready.

I wear the dress that Daniel got me.
It's a black strapless dress with low back, flowing down to my mid thigh and was fit at my waist with a black ribbon.

I leave my hair open, applying some light make-up I hop into a pair of black stilletos and grab a black clutch before leaving.

I call Daniel on my way downstairs.
" Hey"

" Hi, you ready?" He says

" Yeah."

" Good, I'll be there in five." He says and and say a small bye before hanging up.

After five minutes I hear the bell ring and I get up going out.

I open the door to greet Daniel all dressed up in a black tuxedo looking handsome as hell.

Daniel's pov

I reach Leona's place and get off the car walking towards the door before the ringing the door bell revealing Leona.

I was enchanted by the way she looked absolutely gorgeous I wish I could just have her in my arms so she could be mine but I can't...

" Daniel!" Leona says waving hands in front of my eyes and I come back to my senses.

" Hi sweetheart, you look gorgeous." I say and she smiles blushing a bit.

Why so adorable??!!

" Thanks...you too look handsome." He says shyly and I chuckle.

" Thanks, now that you said it I really feel handsome." I say and she hits me playfully chuckling.

" Let's go now, shall we?" I ask her lending my arm and she nods smiling linking her arm with me as we walk towards the car.

Leona's pov

We reach the venue and Daniel helps me get off.

I quickly rush in to look for Samaira and Samuel.

I mental high-five myself after I spot them.

Boy that's a power couple right there, they look amazing together.

Samaira is wearing a ash grey body-con dress which ends just above her knees highlighting her longs legs. Her hair elegantly tied in a updo with silver string earrings. Her black peep toes and a black clutch finishing the look.
