Two days later
It's been two days since Alex hasn't woken up. The schedule has been so harsh on me I had to lie to Alexa is sick so he's in the hospital.
I piled myself under the work since I couldn't get any sleep. I wake Alexa up and bathe her dressing her up.
" Mommy...I want to see Alex.." Alexa says and I sigh.
" Baby...you..can't.. he's sick I told your right? Please I'll take you to him once he's healthy, okay?" I say trying to make her understand.
It breaks my heart to see her eyes filled with tears
" Mommy...?" She calls me with a soft voice and I pick her up.
" Alex ... won't leave mommy and me..like.." she says a tear slipping down her eyes.
My eyes widen and I hug her as she wraps both her arms around my neck.
" No baby...he won't..." I say craddling her and she nods sniffing.
" He won't..I trust him..." I say patting her back.
After crying when she finally calms down I feed her breakfast and drop her at school before leaving for work.
" Good morning Leona, have a nice day!" Nara says and I give her a small smile
" Good morning..-"
" Leona...are you okay? You seem sick these days?" She asks and I nod
" I'm fine Nara, thanks for asking." I say and she stops me again.
" Yes?"
" Leona...I..um..this I got this for you." She says handing me a pendant and I frown.
" It's my lucky charm, I know what happened with Alex..I know you aren't okay...but there's nothing I can do...so here." She says and I smile at her taking it.
" Thankyou...I really hope it works..." I say soft and she nods giving me a smile.
I go upstairs entering my cabin and start my work.
We it was time for lunch break I called Samuel who was staying with Alex for now.
" Hey.." I say
" Hi.." he replys
" How is he doing? Any issues? Is he good...did he wake up..?" I him and he sighs
" No he hasn't, stable condition..but hasn't woken up." He says and I run hands through my hair trying not to cry.
" Okay..." I say and he hums
" Did you eat?" He asks and I sigh.
" Yes." I lie, I have no appetite since the past two days.
" I hope that's not a lie." He says and I bite my lip.
" No... I'll be there in the evening...okay." I say and he sighs.
" Leona you need to have a break..." He says and I look down at my ring.
" How can I..." I say softly tears forming in my eyes.
I sniff and speak
"I'll see you later Sam..I need to work." I say and he sighs
" Okay...bye, take care of yourself please." He says
" Yeah..bye" I say before hanging up the call.
