"Shut up." Clarke groaned rubbing her temples as she tried to study. Being a senior in high school was starting to completely suck. Bad enough she wasn't in her old public school with her friends but now she had to deal with these new private school jackasses. She finally put her headphones on as loud as she could stand and took out her sketchpad.
Clarke started drawing the empty football field in her own twisted way. It was crooked and perfect. She started adding dark shades of reds and blues and purples. By the end, her hands were completely black from the mixing of colors. She ran her hand across the side of her face without thinking. The idea of being a nerdy art girl here as well as at her old school doesn't bother her in the least.
The bell rang to signify the end of the day and Clarke groaned. She had just skipped her last three classes of the day. Her mother would freak. She checked her phone and saw a little reminder about the hell of cheerleading practice. She should really go at least once this week to figure out what she has to wear to school for the game tomorrow.
She put her stuff in her bag and stood up with her headphones still in her ears. She made it to the locker room and changed without stoping the music. She walked into the gym and began stretching slowly. A bouncy brunette with soft blue eyes appeared in front of Clarke. Clarke took her headphones out and looked up at the girl.
"Hi. I'm Octavia Blake." She said sitting down in front of Clarke to stretch.
"Clarke Griffin. I just moved here." Clarke put her iPod away to give the girl her attention.
"Griffin? Like senator Jake Griffin?" She asks.
"That's my dad." Clarke doesn't truly care if they knew but it was information that wasn't required.
"Oh." Octavia said and then practice started.

Practice ended and Clarke got her stuff. She made her way to the car and driver, Lincoln, at the back of the school. He smiled at her. "You skipped three classes today, Clarke."
"That's one less than yesterday." She pointed out as she opened the car door to throw her bag in.
"You are going to get suspended and be stuck at home with your mother." Lincoln looked at my hands. "Why so much black?"
"No re-" She tried to say.
Octavia cut Clarke off with a giggle. "Clarke! Can I get your number!?"
"Um... uh..." Clarke looked at Lincoln who laughed and got in the car. "Sure."
Clarke gave Octavia her number. "Are you busy tonight?"
"No. Not really. Why?" Clarke rubbed the back of her neck.
"Wanna hang out? Maybe I can help with your outfit for tomorrow. The captains are really strict for dress up days." Octavia looked a little nervous.
"Sure. My house? Lincoln will give us a ride." Clarke gestured to the car.
"Yeah. Okay." Octavia got in the car and Clarke followed suite. Lincoln drove them to the enormous house. "Whoa."
"Yeah..." Clarke looked around and noticed Jasper's car. "Jasper is here, Lincoln." She tells him.
"I see that, doll face." He said.
"Only your mother is allowed to call me that." Clarke says and Octavia laughs.
When they get up to Clarke's room and Octavia stops gawking at the house, Jasper is throwing a bouncy ball at the black wall in her room as he lays on her bed. "Hey, Clarkey-poo. How was cheerleading practice?"
