2:05 P.M.

*sighs* Its just one of them days that I don't want to be alone. But when I do be alone, I get bored. Its too hot to do anything & I hate sweating. I'm in California & its hot as hell down here. Your probably wondering who am i?

My name is Annie Johnson. I'm 22 & live alone. I have two jobs & small apartment. I work as a waitress at The Diamonds Club. It's only at night time & sometimes on the weekends. I'm also an assistant for one of the best lawyers in the city. Its a lot of work but I can handle it.

My mother left after she caught my dad in the bed with another person. It wasn't with a woman though. More like a mother's brother. I know, crazy right? My dad came out to mother & it wasn't a pleasant talk. Let's just say she doesn't want neither of us in her life.

My dream is to become a hairstylist. I bought all the cosmetology books & took classes. I want to build my own business. Sadly, i've been busy so much. I haven't had to chance to study. Well, I have to pay the bills in this little apartment.

RING! RING!

I grabbed my phone & saw the caller ID. It was Aaliyah.

"Hello?"

"You still sitting there being miserable?"

That's Aaliyah, my best friend. We've been best friends since middle school. Never left each other side. She lives in Hollywood, she's an actress. Even though she's a superstar, she never forget her friend.

"I am not being miserable Aaliyah."

"You need to go out."

"And do what?"

"Get laid."

"Aaliyah!"

"What? Its the truth. How about your boss?"

"I am not going to fuck my boss."

"Well, he is single & handsome."

"First off, he's my boss. Secondly, he just got engaged."

"Again? I thought they broke it off?"

"Well, you know how they are."
