Annie's POV

Wednesday
June 3, 1981
12:00 a.m.

I couldn't sleep. The screams was bothering me. Innocent people are being tortured & killed. This street is dangerous & violent. I'm laying in Tyrone's bed with my eyes wide open. We're outside of 2300 Jackson Street. But it feels like I'm inside of it. I looked at the clock beside me. Its 12 in the morning. I don't think I can stay here any longer. I want to go home right now.

I got up & went to the bathroom. I put on the clothes that I had on yesterday. I walked out of the bathroom. I went to the other side of the bed to wake up Tyrone.

"Tyrone? I want to go home."

I heard nothing. I pulled the covers back & got nervous. He's gone. He left me here alone? I quickly went to the window & peek through the blinds. A bunch of people are walking around & hiding in the shadows. How am I going to get out of here without anyone seeing me? I need to think of something quick. I wonder if Tyrone keeps a weapon in here.

I quickly look through his stuff to find a weapon. I opened a drawer & found a gun. There's only three bullets in it. I better use it wisely. I tuck the gun in my panties under my dress. I walked out of the room quietly. I slowly walked down the hallways & stop at the stairs. I took a deep breath & quietly took a step. I hope there's nobody downstairs. I continue taking quiet steps until I reached the bottom. Its dark in the lobby but there some light peeking from the windows.

I kept my back to the wall & walked to the door. I opened the door slowly & took a quick peek. Thankfully, nobody lives in this apartment complex. I opened the door wider & walked out. I looked around for a quick hiding spot. I spotted the tree & ran to it. I ducked behind it & sighed. Why did I agreed to go to this party? Let along, why did Aaliyah leave me like that? She didn't even bother to come look for me. Wow, what a good friend.

Maybe i'll try to go out the same way I came in. I saw the pathway that lead to the woods. I immediately walked on the pathway. Dodging branches & trees. I stumbled upon a building then i realized that its Club 30.

"Aye I heard some noises back here."

I quickly ran inside Club 30 & ducked down under the tables. I'm scared for my life right now. This is why I don't like to go out, especially at night time. I'm shaking & shivering like crazy. I just want to go home & never come out.

CREAK!

I looked left & right. Please tell me there's nobody here with me. I crawled from under the table & went by the door. Something moved in the corner. I kept quiet & waited for the movement to stop. I let out a shaky breath & immediately covered my mouth.
The movement was louder & bigger. It walked towards me & stopped. I saw light shine in my face.
