Meeting us

We open our story with a large book, slowly turning the pages to tell the History of Auradon and how the Isle Of The Lost came to be. "Once upon a time, long, long ago... Well, more like 20 years ago, Belle married her beast in front of 6,000 of their closest personal friends. Big cake. Yeah, so instead of a honeymoon, Beast united all the kingdoms and got himself elected king of the United States of Auradon. He rounded up all the villains and sidekicks all the really interesting people and he booted them off to the isle of the lost with a magical barrier to keep them there. This is my hood, no magic, no wi-fi, no way out. Or so I thought...hang on, you're about to meet us. But first, this happened." A female voice reads as the pages turn.

Over in the Kingdom of Auradon in Beast's castle, there stood Prince Ben getting measured by Lumiere for his coronation suit. He gazes longingly out the window at the Isle of the Lost in perfect view. "Sleeve. Head. Ah-ha!" Lumiere instructs as he perfectly measures Ben. King Adam also known as The Beast and Belle enter the room, walking towards Ben. "How is it possible that you're going to be crowned King next month? You're just a baby!" King Adam gushes. "He's turning 16, dear." Belle smiles placing a hand on Adam's shoulder. 

"Hey, Pops!" Ben greets them with a small smile. "16?! That's far too young to be crowned King. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42." Adam says making Belle, Ben, and Lumiere look at him awkwardly. "Uh, you decided to marry me at 28," Belle states matter-of-factly as Adam panics. "Ah, it was either you or the teapot. Kidding, I'm only kidding." Adam jokes but stops when he sees the look on his wife's face.

"Mom. Dad..." Ben tries to walk forward but is held back by Lumiere. "I've chosen my first official proclamation. I've decided that the children on the Isle of the Lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon. Every time I look out at the island, I feel like they've been abandoned." Ben claims to take another look out to the Isle. Adam and Belle look at each other in worry before looking back at their son to hear him out, but not before Adam states his words of protest. "The children of our sworn enemies? Living among us?" Adam questioned angrily.

"We'd start with a few at first, only the ones who need our help the most. I've already chosen them." Ben claims trying to convince his parents. "Have you?" Adam questions the boy, now curious about his statement. "I gave you a second chance," Belle says to Adam before turning to Ben, "Who are their parents?" 

"Cruella De Vil, Jafar, The Evil Queen, Maleficent, and the Queen of Hearts," Ben says flinching as his father yells at the names he hears. "The Queen of Hearts! She's the worst villain in the land! She killed hundreds of Wonderland citizens!" Adam yells his face turning red at the thought of what The Red Queen had done. "Dad, just hear me out!" Ben yells to calm his father. "I won't hear of it! They are guilty of unspeakable crimes!" Adam fumes as he refuses his son's proclamation.

"Dad, their children are innocent! Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life? Dad?" Ben reasons with his father. Adam looks over at Belle, who holds a calm face and calms Adam down. "Well, I suppose their children are innocent." Adam agrees to Ben's proclamation after some arguments, and Adam sends a few of the royal guard members to fetch the children.

On the Isle of the Lost, there is a run-down makeshift castle, which was home to the Heart family. Alex was getting ready to go meet her friends, but her mother's issue made it hard to do anything. "Hey Mom, I'm going out!" Alex yelled to her mother from the door of the fake castle. "Fine! Be back soon or it's Off With Your Head!" The Queen of Hearts, less commonly known as Mary Elizabeth Heart. Ever since Mary was locked on the island, she slowly lost her sanity no longer allowing her to think of anyone other than her disposable Card Knights, including her daughter. "Fine." Alex rolls her eyes drawing out her word, before walking outside and meeting up with Jay, the son of Jafar.
