The next morning, Alex joins up with her friends at the lockers outside. When the girls spot Mal they start cheering and thanking her for their new hair. "Look, it's Mal! "Hi, Mal! Love my hair, Mal!" The girls cheer walking towards the balcony from the grass.
"Are you feeling kind of weird about this? I mean, it's not so bad here, you know." Jay states leaning against a locker next to Mal looking out at the girls. "I like it here," Alex said watching Carlos talk with Evie as Mal rolled her eyes at the Heart girl. "Are you insane? Long live evil! You're mean! You're awful! You're bad news! Snap out of it!" Mal yelled towards Jay and sent a glare towards Alex, who was still watching Carlos. "Thanks, Mal. I needed that." Jay sighs as he tries to seem optimistic about their plan.
Ben, Chad, and Audrey walk out of the hallway and onto the balcony. Audrey looks between the girls cheering at Jay and Mal and her spray-painted locker. "Do you think they paid for those?" She questions annoyedly. "Oh, hello. The name's Jay. Are you all going to the tourney game tonight? Keep a lookout for number eight, all right? Scoring the winning goal." Jay flirts flipping his hair over his shoulder. "Puh-lease." Alex rolls her eyes as she walks past Jay.
"She did it to Jane's hair, too, and Fairy Godmother's not happy about it." Audrey chides looking at Ben desperately. "What's the harm?" Ben asks watching the Vks as well. "It's gateway magic! Sure, it starts with the hair. Next thing you know It's the lips and the legs and the clothes and then everybody looks good and then... where will I be?" Audrey whines. "Listen, Audrey..." Ben tries to reason but Audrey cuts him off. "I'll see you at the game after my dress-fitting for the Coronation, okay?" She affirms.
"Okay..." Ben trails off. "Bye, Bennyboo!" Audrey blows an air kiss before walking away. "Bye.." Ben sighs. "Hey, Bennyboo!" Mal teases as she walks towards the boy with a cookie in hand. "Hey!" Ben jumps and turns to look at the girl before greeting her nervously. "I just made a batch of cookies. Double chocolate chip, do you want one?" Mal offers holding up the bag and shaking it.
"Oh, I, uh, I've got a big game. I don't eat before a big game. But thank you so, so much. Thank you. Next time. Next time." Ben tries to deny it with a good excuse. "No, yeah. I completely understand. Be careful of treats offered by kids of villains." Mal claims sadly trying to play the victim. "No, no, no." Ben denys quickly. "No, I'm sure every kid in Auradon knows that." Mal looks at the cookie sadly managing to hide her smirk as she guilt-tripped the boy. "No, that's not it. No, no, no, I... I do..." Ben denies again.
"No, I get it. You're cautious. That's smart. Oh, well, more for me, I guess." Mal sighs as she goes to take a bit from the cookie, but Ben grabs the cookie and takes a bite. "No, no. Hey... see that? Trust you. Totally." Ben says as he chews the cookie.
"How are they?" Mal asks with a smirk as her friends start to surround Ben from behind. "They're good. They're great! They're amazing! They're, uh... I mean, they're chewy and, and you know, they... is that walnuts? I love walnuts. I mean, uh, you know, the... The chocolate... The... the chocolate... The chocolate chips are... I'm sorry. Um... Uh, they're... They're warm and soft. And they're sweet... Mal, have you always had those little golden flecks in your eyes?" Ben says dreamily. "How are you feeling, bro?" Jay asks placing a hand on Ben's shoulder. "I feel... I feel... I feel like... Like singing your name. Mal, Mal." Ben starts before Mal covers his mouth and hands Jay the cookie.
After Ben walks away, Jay looks surprised at the cookie. Jay smirks before holding the cookie out to Carlos, who looks confused. Jay nods his head toward Alex as she talks with Becca. Carlos's face turns red as he realizes what Jay is referring to. "No no no no! Jay!" Carlos claims quickly before rushing away from Jay as he teases him. "Come on, Carlos! You know you want to!" Jay chases him with the cookie, and Carlos runs towards the locker room to prepare for the game. "Come on, Carlos! Maybe she'll even kiss you!" Jay chased after Carlos passing by Alex and Becca. Becca points to the boys with a confused look, and Alex shrugs confused
