After Jane's talk with Alex in her room. She drags the girl to Swords and Shields practice. Becca was already there watching the practice when the pair showed up.

"Hey Jane! Hey Alex! I didn't know you both liked Swords and Shields." Becca smiles, leaning against the railing as the team walks into the room.

With Ben having to take on more responsibility as King, he had to give up the role as Team Captain, which Coach decided to give to Jay. Jay is a great team captain and always makes sure everyone is included, but there are a few people, mainly Chad, still angry about the Coach's decision.

"All right, boys. Let's line it up. Carlos, you're with me. Let's go." Jay orders all the boys to pair up in a line. Jay pairs up with Carlos. "Assembler. Salute. Lower the point. Masks down. En garde. Keep your center!" Jay hollers as they go through the motions of training.

Carlos dutifully attacks Jay, but slowly the group dwindles as they lose their pair fights. After Carlos steps out when Jay beats him, a new person runs into the room, joining the fight but attacking Jay. At the commotion, the others exit the circle to see who would win and find out who the mysterious newcomer was.

"Get him, Jay!" Carlos yells in encouragement, watching the fight, not noticing the soft eyes of Alex that were trained on his form.

Jay continues to fight the person to the point that he takes his helmet off in amazement. The mysterious person continues to fight, being careful to attack his head but not enough to harm him. Jay could see that whoever this person was, they knew their way around a sword.

"Jay, what happened?" Carlos questions after the person manages to pin Jay to the floor, sword tip at his nose.

"Finish him," Chad exclaims, wanting to be rid of the man who stole his position in both Swords and Shields and Tourney.

The mysterious person stands tall and puts their sword away, allowing Jay to stand up. Then they remove their helmet, doing a hairflip to reveal Lonnie underneath. Many of the people on the balconies clap for the girl, including Alex, Becca, and Jane, despite not knowing that she was going to pull this stunt. Jay and Carlos have smiles as Jay shakes his head in disbelief.

"It's Lonnie!" Jane cheered proudly for her friend, who had been trying to join any of the sports teams since the VKs got here.

"Yeah! Go Lonnie!" Alex smiles. Her cheer finally caught the attention of the boy she had been pining after. Carlos smiles at her slightly out of her view, just watching her talk to her friends all excitedly.

"Not bad." Jay nods to the girl, shaking her hand in an act of good sportsmanship.

"You should put me on the team," Lonnie smirks, looking at Jafar's son. Jay was about to comment before Chad pushed his way through the crowd of boys to stand next to Jay with a smug look.

"Hey, w-what?! No, no, no. We'll-- We'll be the laughing stock of the league. A-And what's gonna happen next? We'll have girls playing the tourney? Come on, guys." Chad scoffs, looking around for anyone who would back him up in his statement, but is met with silence because nobody was opposed to it as long as she was good at it.

"So?" Jay asks confused, looking up at Alex, who shrugs in confusion.

"Yeah, Chad, maybe we would win Tourney matches if you had me on the team." Alex boasts about getting a few laughs around her and a scowl from Chad. The only laugh she cared about, though, was the one that came from Carlos, who finally caught her eye.

"So? Have you not read the rule book? Section 2, paragraph 3, 11-4. "A team will be comprised of a captain and eight men." Hmm? Why don't you read the rule book?" Chad reads from a pocket book that he had, which he claimed was the rule book. Nobody else had read the rule book that deeply or cared enough to do so. All it did was show how desperate he was.
