-The Next Day-

I slowly found myself waking up to see the hatchling repetitively pushing my left shoulder and being met with some pain from him/her doing so, but it was manageable for the most part... "Well good morning to you too..." I tiredly nodded at him/her before slowly looking around to make sure nobody or no-dragon had infiltrated the cove's perimeter. They seemed to have noticed that I was now awake and ran in a few circles before stopping by my left side again. I could tell that he/she was definitely hungry, so I settled down the hatchling from his/her hyperactivity a little bit while I raised my hand to bring over another trout. "Here you go, this should do it..." I said to nothing in particular as I fed him/her using the same method as I did yesterday, to which the trout was once again gone so fast that it almost wasn't even funny. Luckily, it was able to fill the hatchling again like last time as well, so I think I have sort of figured out how to do the feeding process at least. I looked over at the hatchling, who seemed pretty full and satisfied after eating that trout, then slowly got myself up and stretched out a little bit. The hatchling got up as well and seemed to be patiently waiting for me to do something, I decided a walk around the cove with having him/her come along wouldn't hurt. So after I made sure that everything was good and the hatchling was ready, I slowly made my way out of the cave with the hatchling sticking close by my leg. The first thing I decided to show him/her first was the large body of water within the center of the cove, to which the hatchling started bolting towards while I quickly went after him/her. They then attempted to jump into the water, but I managed to used my psychic powers to catch him/her in time and bring them back next to me. He/She tried to jump into the water again, to which I just used my psychic powers to bring them back over to me again. He/She looked up at me with I assumed was an annoyed look, to which I just gave a sigh in response. "Fine... let me just get a few things and we'll go into the water..." I nodded slightly before then making sure nobody else was around again. I gave a simple snap from my fingers and had the normal attire that I usually wore instantly change into something similar to that of a full wetsuit, to which was much more fitting for playing and swimming in the water along with teleporting the splint off me so I wouldn't accidentally damage it in any way.
"There... Now you can jump in." I said while making sure my psychic powers would last. The hatchling seemed to have understood me and completely cannonballed into the water, to which I quickly made my way into the water as well and used my psychic powers to make sure that he/she didn't get completely submerged. Once I made sure that he/she wouldn't have any risk of going completely under the water, I weakened my powers enough so that the hatchling could learn to swim on his/her own without having much interference from me.

Now that most of the restrictions had been removed, the hatchling seemed to be having a real blast playing in the water and even seemed to be getting the movements for swimming effectively down surprisingly quickly, though I kept the safety measures in place just in case... for I didn't want to take any chances. I sat by the shallower end of the water while watching the hatchling go at it since I didn't want to exert too much energy while I had my powers in play. I felt myself beginning to space off as time went on... to which I kept shaking my head and moving around a little bit in response to keep myself from either falling asleep or going into the coma-like state that has been plaguing me ever since I had been stuck here. I noticed that the hatchling had stopped playing and turned to look at me with a mix of a confused and a little bit of concern on his/her face. He/She then made his/her way over to me and splashed some water on me, to which most of it was in the face Not sure if they did it intentionally or not, but the water helped me retain my consciousness a little better. "Thanks... I needed that..." I chuckled as looked at them with a small smile. He/She gave a noise in response that was not exactly describable, but could probably be translated as a "Your welcome" of sorts. The hatchling then dragged me out into the deeper parts of the water and just we just splashed around and in general... had a good time. I had a smile appear as I remembered how much better everything was when I didn't have to worry about Zalgo too much and to... enjoy life with those around you along with having fun while doing so. As I was in the middle of playing tag with the hatchling, I felt my body beginning to lock up and seize as I was swimming towards him/her. I proceeded to shake it off as something that was not too important and continued to play tag with them... but I then began to take it a little more seriously when I had my body completely lock up and I felt my beginning to sink under the surface of the water. He/She saw that I had disappeared and they looked under the water, to see me as I was sinking fast. I think he/she noticed that I couldn't move and tried to go under to help me... but my psychic powers were holding them back from doing so. I looked back up at him/her with a face that would try to reassure them that I would be ok before then looking around me to see that I was already about to reach the bottom. Luckily, it seemed to only about 6-7 foot deep, so I didn't have to worry about sinking too far down below the surface. I quickly made the assumption that the locking and seizing of my body was from me exerting and using my powers too much in such a short period of time as the problem. I then realized that I had almost no air in my lungs and no other sources of air to supply myself with around me... So I had now given a choice between letting down the powers for the hatchling to keep the illusion from being blown... or to drop the illusion completely to ensure the hatchling's safety... To which there wasn't even a contest in the first place on which decision to make here. "It'll be fine if I let the illusion down for now anyway... Since Shiba isn't here to worry about them or anyone else being there to see them, along with the fact that I'm keeping him/her safe... So I don't think letting my guard down and revealing them this one time won't really hurt anything..." I quickly thought while following up with a mental sigh to myself. As I slowly broke the illusion... every single one of my scars that I had been given to me by Zalgo though-out the few centuries we have been made aware of each other's excruciating existence had now made their appearance abundantly clear... Though I didn't really care about them being shown now since I was just relieved that my assumption was correct and I was now able to keep the hatchling safe as I promised to Shiba. Almost immediately after I completely broke the illusion that had been using up my powers, I slowly felt my body beginning to move around and function properly again. So I swam up to the surface and then made my way towards the hatchling and saw that he/she was tired after the game of tag along with everything else we had done, to which that was understandable since swimming in water gives the best workout for almost anybody really. I decided that it was probably time to go ahead and make our way out of the water to dry him/her along with myself off and to continue on the walk around the cove as I previously planned.
