"So um," Mark mutters to himself, fumbling with the camera on his hands.

He pressed record, then lifted the camera to his face.

"(Y/N), yo...wassup!" Mark exclaimed as his eyes trailed to where he was going.

"Today marks five years since we've met," Mark laughed.

"Haha, marks..." He smiled at his own joke. "but anyways, as you can see—"

Mark flipped the camera to record the pathway of where he was going.

The hallway of SOPA, the school where you both went together as high school students.

"We bumped into each other that day, at this very hallway." Mark's tone deepened as he sat down on the empty hallway of the school.

He stared into the camera and smiled.
"It's a relief to know that I met you."

He inhaled and awkwardly chuckled.

"The hyungs are in the field, waiting for me. It's nighttime now by the way, I wish I came sooner..."

"I just wanted to say...um," Mark cleared his throat, his eyes falling to the ground as he blinked several times before gathering his breath.

"I miss you."

The silence was deafening as Mark stayed still, not taking a single glance at the camera.

"So wake up soon! We're waiting for you." Mark smiles and choked out a weak chuckle.

He looked at the camera and waved his hands.
"Bye."

He turned the camera off and laid it down on the floor. Once he leaned on the wall, he started to feel his heart clench.

It was empty, and knowing it was made Mark shut his eyes tight as tears slowly cascade down his cheeks.

It hurts. So much, now that you're not with him.

When they got to the dorms, Taeyong offered him something to eat but Mark declined. Again.

It was nearing comeback season and things we're a lot busier than usual.

Mark went to his room and locked it. Walking over to his bed and laying down.

His body was limp from lack of food and his lips were chapped. He continued to stare at the ceiling—staring at nothing.

He didn't want to open social media since the news was all about you and how the sasaengs got arrested for attempted murder.

Mark huffed in a loud sigh, laying his arm on his forehead.

It was one of the times where he hated himself. Moments he blamed himself for what had happened. He felt inadequate that he can't do anything to wake you up.

Mark's phone buzzed as he immediately picked it up. And with a strained voice, he replied.

"Hannah?"
"Mark, I'm glad you picked up."

"Why did you call? Did something happen to (y/n)?" Mark's tone was concerned and alarmed as he sat up on his bed.

"No...no, I need to tell you something. Can we meet up?"

"Right now?"

Mark came to the park at midnight in a regular gray hoodie and some black shorts that ended right above his knees.

His glasses was on and he can see your sister sitting on one of the bench. Mark ran towards her as Hannah noticed his presence.

"Mark..."
"What are you doing in thin clothing, you'll catch a cold." Mark interrupted.

"No, it's fine." Hannah chuckled, blushing afterwards.

"So...I wanted to confess something." She breathed out, looking up at Mark who was standing in front of her.

Mark didn't take his eyes off her as he waited for what she was going to say.

"I know now's not the right time to be saying this but I just wanted to get the weight lifted off my shoulders..."

Hannah took a deep breath as she looked back at Mark.

"I l-like you," Hannah said.

Mark's eyes widen, blinking a lot of times before pointing to himself.
"Me? You like me?"

Hannah nodded. "For a year now."

"A year? Wha- me? Are you sure?"
"Yes, Mark! I like you!"

Hannah huffed out of frustration as she stared at Mark's face, observing every reaction.

Mark averted his eyes and pursed his lips.

"I know you're too nice to turn me down so don't be afraid." Hannah chuckled awkwardly.

Mark stayed silent, not knowing what to say.

"I-I'm sorry, but I don't like you that way." He finally said.

Hannah smiled and nodded. Standing up, she walked away hurriedly and wiped her tears.

Mark looked up at the sky and took a deep breath.

The stars reminded him of you and it made him chuckle. His voice hoarse and deep, he laughed painfully.

He missed your smile.
The sound of your laugh, the ugliest one.
Your lips that perfectly fitted his.
Your fingers that tangled and tugged on his hair.

Mark loves you so much, it hurts.

He took a deep breath again, and huffed it out like the loneliness he felt deep down.
