Hunger Games -Fought Again

Chapter 6: Thalia

I left my assessment feeling great, I hit some targets with knives and I'm pretty sure I impressed the gamemakers. If I didn't, they've lost their minds. I am a very likeable and impressive person. Yeah, I did awesome.

An avox directed me to the elevator, which I rode to floor three. Ombre, Wylee, Belfiss and the stylists were waiting.

"Alright!" Ken said cheerfully, "let's have dinner, then we can watch the training scores." We walked into the dining room and ate a delicious dinner of juicy pork chops and mashed potatoes. This food was heavenly! There was this sweet stuff called juice, and a thousand different deserts! I had a fudge covered brownie, a blackberry tart, and a cinnamon cookie.

When dinner was finished, we went and sat on a huge couch. Starting with District 1, the tributes pictures and their scores popped up on screen. The careers in Districts 1 and 2 scored in the 8-10 zone. The knife throwing girl, Violet, actually had an 11. 'Whatever, I'll get a higher score than them,' I thought confidently.

Belfiss's picture came up on screen. He scored a six. Everyone seemed moderately satisfied. Then came Wylee, she scored a five, then Ombre, who also scored a five. There was my picture, beside a score of....seven? This couldn't be right!

"What?!" I was enraged, "how did I get such a low score? I hit two of the targets with knives in my assessment!"

"Yeah, and the Careers hit all of them," Ombre said pointedly.

"Well, I still scored higher than you!" I retorted.

"Still, seven is pretty low. And I have a brain that's larger than a peanut!" Ombre shouted at me. That wasn't normal. She never insults anybody. The Games must really be getting to her. As much as I didn't want to admit it, I was a little worried about her.
