"Don't worry keiji I'll get you with some one before I die! Now pass me your cellphone."
....
Akaashi and Kenma stood behind Akaashi's mom who was busily typing away on the couch.

Kenma and Akaashi could practically feel each others nervousness radiating from their bodies.

The tension in the room was so thicc it almost competed with bokuto's cak-

"Yeesh you guys could at least take a seat next to me, don't you want to see the magic go down?" Akaashi's mom said breaking the stiffness in the air.

"I rather not watch my social status crumble right in front of me." Mumbled Akaashi softly.

"You didn't have one to begin with."

...
"Keijiii why didn't you tell me he had a girl friend, it was so hard trying to get a flirty response back." Whined Akaashi's mom like a child.

"Sometimes I wonder if you're my biological mother, we have nothing in common."

"Don't change the subject keiji!"
Akaashi's mother loosely cling onto Out main character's forearm, whining about how she would never get grandchildren.

Akaashi felt slight embarrassment watching Kenma awkwardly stand there and watch the scene unfold before him but he was to busy pondering about why he didn't stop his mother. He was happy with seeing his friend gush over their significant other but a part of him felt vacant.

A part of him wished that bokuto and yuki's relationship would reach its deadline soon. These mixed up thoughts made him question what he felt towards his friend, seeing bokuto excitedly make a horde of typos while talking about his day had become something that he looked forward to in the afternoon. The plenty of pointless late night convos with each other that never seem to want to end had always made him fluster when thought about late at night.

I only want their relationship to end because I don't want my friend to be hurt by a cheater. That's right, I don't want to see my friend suffer, it all makes sense now. You've never met this boy how can you develop feelings for someone you've never seen. Akaashi thought, he had finally made an answer he was satisfied with.

Akaashi would never admit it out loud but after the many affiliations with bokuto,

He had gotten attached.

...

"Hey keiji you good you've been staring at wall for a little too long." Keiji's mother asked.

Akaashi stopped his momentarily life crisis to shoot in a quick reply.
"Y-"
"He has a thing for walls yknow, people that won't listen to him." Kenma interrupted.

Akaashi looked up at Kenma surprised, had he actually spoken up by himself? Either way Kenma was kind of correct-

"Kenma you've been talking an awful lot today, could that mean you actually want me to help you? " Akaashi's mom said with a little hope.

"What no-"

"You really do see me as a mother figure! Get over here son!" Akaashi's mom said while throwing herself at Kenma for a hug.

I should leave while they're distracted. Keiji quickly thanked the gods for giving him a slightly narrow minded mother and spun around and headed towards the door.

"Oh keiji you're heading out?" his mother asked whilst embracing a very disturbed Kenma.

"Yeah I'll be back in a bit."

"Ok, bring some cake in your way back, have funn!" Keiji's said.

Akaashi made his way out the door closing it while he inserted one of his hands in his pockets. He walked down the empty neighborhood looking down at the cracked cement sidewalk. He hummed a peaceful tune whilst he cleared his mind.
