And she doesn't really know why. Why he can't remember her? Why did the Son of Neptune or rather Poseidon remembered the Daughter of Athena? And why is Venus so heartless. The irony of it, the Goddess of Love being heartless. Ridiculous. But heartless towards her only. Not impossible.

Finally, the Queen was strong enough to neglect it. To not give importance to it any longer. Because she knew in herself that she would never define herself from the male species' point of view. She was ready to throw all the memories away, hidden somewhere hard to reach. It was all in the past, she is prepared for the future. A lesson she has learned and benefited greatly from.
Because if Jason was really hers, he would remember her like Percy did with Annabeth. She would be the memory which would help him guide his way of the past, but she wasn't. And she has come to terms with that fact. Always did actually, just terrified of admitting it to herself.
