Newt POV

The four of us make it to a wall near the building we are trying to get into.

Gally helps Teresa and I up the wall, but Thomas obviously refuses his help and gets up on his own.

Once we are past the wall, we go into a side entrance to the building, which leads us to a flight of stairs. We make it half way up, when Gally finds a control panel, and starts messing with that.

I try to pay attention to what they are doing, but my head starts to spin and my vision gets blurry. I start to cough, and it feels as if flames are trying to crawl their way out of my mouth. I catch Teresa giving me an odd look, and I have a horrible sinking feeling that she knows that I'm infected.

Gally finally finishes what he is working on, then we continue on and make it to a more populated hallway.

I feel tense and nervous being around so many people that are our enemies, but I need to keep reminding myself that we're safe as long as we have these disguises on.

Teresa leads us to where all the prisoners are, along with where the cure is too. However, as we get on the elevator to go up to the floor where it is, someone steps in with us just before the door closes. Of course, it's Janson.

Teresa and Janson talk for a few minutes about work and other meaningless topics, but my heart drops when he brings up Casey.

"A few hours ago, we were alerted that one of people from Thomas's rebel group made her way into the city. Into this building in fact, but somehow, we can't track her anymore. Although, that doesn't matter anymore, since Thomas is here as well. I care more about finding him. If you saw him, you would let me know, right Teresa?" Janson says smoothly, giving her an eerie smile.

     "Of course." Teresa says quietly.

I am half expecting her to turn us in right now, but instead, she lets Janson walk out the door without another word.

Teresa leads us to another room. It's circular with a lot of sturdy metal doors. Although, one stands out from the others. It's larger than the rest, and looks more like a bank vault.

Gally quickly opens the smaller doors, which contain many frightened kids, but none of them are Minho.

"Where is he?" Thomas demands, whirling towards Teresa with a glare.

"He might be in the lab." Teresa offers, looking slightly scared.

"Where is that?" Thomas asks impatiently.

"On the other side of the building." She answers.

Thomas growls in frustration. "I'm going." He says, starting towards the door.

"I'm coming with you." I declare, following him.

Thomas turns around, giving me a worried look. "Stay here and wait for the cure."

"I'll be fine, Minho first, remember?" I say patiently, although I don't feel so confident. Still, it's true, this entire mission is about getting Minho back, not saving me.

Thomas hesitates for a moment, then nods. Teresa leads us to the lab, where we will hopefully find Minho.

As we exit the elevator, we are about to walk down a path, until we see Janson walking towards us.

"Thomas. What are you doing?" He calls to us, with a smirk of triumph plastered all over his stupid face.

"Get out of our way." Thomas growls, glaring daggers at Janson.

"I can't do that Thomas." Janson says, slowly pacing towards us.

Thomas quickly grabs Teresa and holds a gun to her head. "Move or I'll shoot her." Thomas threatens.

"You wouldn't shoot her." Janson says, looking serenely unconcerned.

"Oh yeah? Try me." Thomas offers.

After a few moments of the two of them bantering back and forth, along with Teresa pleading for her life, she finally shoves him aside, causing Gally and I to back up with him. She then pulls the emergency lockdown switch that is near her, and alarms start going off, just as a study glass door slams down in front of us, causing the bullets from Janson's gun to embed themselves into the glass, and not our skin.

     That's when we run.
