"Sir, your daughter's waking up."
You groaned as a bit of light began to shine through your slowly opening eyes. The room was a stark white, stereotypical of a hospital room, which you recognized immediately. The nurse's words finally settled in your ears as you turned your head to the side. For a moment, your heart raced with fear as you half expected your parents to be there, but a deep wave of comfort swept over you when you saw it was just Aizawa.
"She's not my daugh-, you know what, nevermind," he shook his head, sitting up in the small chair next to your hospital bed. "How are you feeling, kid?" The nurse gave the two of you a quick nod and walked out of the room, leaving you to talk privately.
Honestly, you weren't feeling any pain, which was surprising considering the last thing you remembered was a giant metal pillar literally going through your stomach. Sure, you were no doctor, but typically, you assumed people didn't live through that kind of stuff. "What exactly happened?" You asked, still a bit groggy from the medicine that was pumping through your veins.
Aizawa ran a hand through his disheveled hair. "There was a villain attack at the I-Expo. You got caught in the crosshairs, and the next thing I know, I'm being called at 4:00 in the morning by Shinso, saying that a weeping Midoriya had called to let him know what had happened. Also, I may or may not have lied about you being my daughter, since they only let family in here. So do me a favor and don't tell the nurse that." He took a deep breath and sank backwards. He looked, for lack of a better word, awful. His dark circles under his eyes were even more pronounced than usual and it looked like he hadn't slept all night; he didn't even have his sleeping bag with him.
"Thanks for being here," you said quietly, feeling a bit awkward. It was strange to have someone care about you that much, considering your actual parents had never really been the type. "Also, how am I, like, alive right now?"
He raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean? You passed out from the cut on your side, but it wasn't anything too bad."
"...Huh?" You weren't sure if your brain was working completely correctly. "But what about the fact that I was literally impaled with a pillar the size of my whole head?"
There was a moment of silence as you and your teacher-father-figure stared at each other. He blinked, before glancing at the paper on the end of your bed. "Pillar? There's nothing on the sheet about that. And the doctors told me you just had the one wound and a couple scratches...?"
"But..." You were definitely sure that you had been impaled; it wasn't a feeling you were going to soon forget, considering it was basically your insides being ripped out. Not pleasant. But sure enough, you- after making sure to tell Aizawa to look away- lifted up your shirt, and saw that there was absolutely no mark or indication that anything had split you into two pieces. Somehow, it had all seemed to disappear without a trace.
"What the fuck?"

"Kosho-kun, you don't have to walk me to school," you rolled your eyes at the boy who was clinging onto your arm as though you would disappear at a moment's notice. "Besides, your school is literally on the other side of town."
He frowned. "Then I'll be late. Are you really asking me to let you out of my sight when you almost died!?" His voice went up an octave at the end of his sentence and he looked at you with puppy dog eyes, which you ignored.
"Is that why? Or are you just hoping to see Hitoshi-kun?" Your mind flashed back to when he flirted with a certain one of your friends at the shop. "Or maybe Denki-san?"
Kosho gasped, putting his hand up to his chest in mock offense. "I would never steal Hitoshi-kun from you, (Y/n)-chan! It wounds me deeply that you would ever think that. But that blond boy on the other hand... well, seeing him would just be a bonus."
As the two of you continued walking to Yuuei, sarcastic comments flying through the air, you realized that the person walking in front of you was a classmate of yours, one that you hadn't really had the chance to talk to. And then, as though he had heard you thinking about him, the one and only Aoyama Yuuga turned around, striking a marvelous pose as sparkles flew around his head.
"Ah, (l/n)-san," he nodded at you. "How are you feeling on this wonderful morning? I may have overheard a conversation between Midoriya-san and that purple haired roach saying you were hospitalized."
You ignored the fact that he had just called Hitoshi a roach and scratched the back of your neck awkwardly. "Oh, yep. It was the incident at the I-Expo, but I guess I'm okay now. At least, physically, I am." As you spoke, you felt a small nudge on your side, and you turned to Kosho, who gave you a questioning glance, looking at Aoyama and then back at you.
"This is Iseri Kosho," you sighed, knowing that he would just annoy you if you didn't introduce him. "Kosho-kun, this is Aoyama Yuuga, he's in my class."
Using his quirk, Kosho literally rolled over to the blond boy and took his hand in his. He leant down slightly and kissed the back of his hand. "A pleasure to meet you."
You blinked. It was extremely awkward watching them flirt, and yes, Aoyama was obviously flirting back, so you decided to step away and continue walking towards school. Well, at least Kosho had finally found someone who seemed into him, although it probably meant he would want to walk with you to school every day, and you weren't sure if you could handle that.
Speaking of blond boys from your class, as soon as you stepped through the gates of Yuuei, an arm was slung over your shoulder, and you followed it to see the grinning face of Kaminari Denki.
"You're alive!" He commented, to which you gave a slightly exasperated nod. Sure, you knew you had been hurt, but every single person asking if you were okay or at least bringing it up was already tiring. Not to mention that Hitoshi had called you for about five hours the night before just so he "could hear your voice before you almost died again".
"I am," you replied, not bothering to shove his arm off. "No idea how, but I am." You stopped walking for a moment, making his look back at you worriedly as a frown crossed your face. "Did you... see what happened to me?"
He gulped, removing his arm so he could awkwardly rub the back of his neck. "Yeah, it was scary... As soon as we all got to the roof, you got hit with one of those pillar thingies. I was kinda out of it from using my quirk too much, but I definitely remember seeing that. I mostly remember Bakugou-san screaming his face off. But..." he glanced at you. "I mean, I would think that would kill someone, right? Or at least hurt you a lot, and you seem fine..."
'What the fuck?' You narrowed your eyes at the ground. So, you were right, you had been impaled. And yet, it had somehow been fixed before you made it to the hospital. But... that was literally impossible.
You pondered over that thought all the way up to your classroom, where you were then bombarded with millions of questions from your classmates about whether or not you were okay. But luckily, Bakugou and Dark Shadow both saw how uncomfortable you were, and everyone stopped crowding around you once the blond yelled at them and Dark Shadow had come over to get petted, glaring at anyone who came near.
As much as you tried to pay attention to Aizawa's explanation of the training camp trip that you were going on tomorrow, you couldn't help but have an otherwise occupied mind. For one, you were alive after being impaled, with literally no marks to show that you were. And secondly, something that had happened a while ago, the fact that you had Yveltal. How the hell a Pokemon like that had managed to get into the Yuuei Sports Festival, especially after they had upped the security, was beyond you. The two probably weren't connected, especially since one had saved you and the other had tried to kill you, but they were both suspicious.
But, at least you were going to have a fun and easy going time at training camp.

A/n: uh yeah, it's been like five weeks since I've updated ;-; and that;s my bad. I've had literally no inspiration to write anything, but I'm getting back into the groove. This is basically a small filler chapter until I can work out what I want to do next with the story, and I also have to work on an update for my other book. But yes, as of now, I am back to writing more often.
As for a book suggestion, my next one is I See Dead People by @MarshMarrow and @HinedereOnline on Quotev. I really really enjoy this book and I love all of the ocs that they've put in!
