Chapter Fifteen

You felt your heart drop a little bit when you unlaced your fingers from Shinso's. Obviously, it had to happen, since fighting while holding hands probably wouldn't have ended well for either of you or your grades, but you still couldn't explain why you felt slightly empty without his touch. Little did you know that he was feeling the same way, too. The two of you stepped side by side into the fiery city, keeping an eye out for Endeavor.

"So, what's the plan?" He asked, nervously rubbing his neck. "Are we gonna try and escape or put the handcuffs on him?"

You furrowed your eyebrows, seriously considering the outcomes of both choices. If you went after him, there was a pretty high possibility that you would get seriously injured and even that you may not get the handcuffs on him at all, but you didn't want to run away either. "I guess we'll just try to get the handcuffs on him and if it turns out absolutely awful, we can run. But I'd rather avoid that, since I kinda wanna beat this guy's ass." You paused before grimacing. "Although, we need to keep in mind that he is the number two hero...No matter how much we wanna crush him, he is powerful, so we gotta keep that in mind."

Shinso chuckled, nodding along with your words. "Whatever you say, madam. I'll follow you into battle wherever you go."

"Oh thank you, dear sir," you replied sarcastically, even giving him a little bow. However, instead of another response, you were tackled by the purple haired boy. Before you could ask what was going on, you saw Endeavor on top of one of the fiery buildings. The area where you had been standing was now a small crater that looked like it had been hit with a meteor or something.

"Thanks," you mumbled as he scrambled off of you and helped you up. The number two hero jumped off of the building, landing on the ground with an 'oof', but he still seemed fine. It was quite a terrifying sight, seeing Endeavor literally on fire walking through the flames to get to you. Luckily for you, he seemed to be taking his sweet ass time, so it gave you time to think. "Split up, Hitoshi-kun, he can't chase after both of us!"

Without waiting for the boy's response, you took off running to the left, the opposite direction of the entrance, to where you assumed the exit probably was. You weren't planning on just leaving the arena and letting Shinso fight, but you knew that tackling the pro hero head on was not a smart decision. You really hoped that Shinso had listened to you and hadn't been flamed.

Meanwhile, Shinso had just barely managed to escape the flames of the pro hero. Rolling skillfully out of the way - although it looked rather dorky to everyone watching - he took off at a sprint behind him, watching you disappear to the right. He tilted his head over his shoulder as he ran to see Endeavor heading towards him, which he would rather have than him going for you.

As far as the purple haired boy could tell, Endeavor had gone after him because he had less of an option to attack the fiery bastard. Shinso had to assume that he knew how his quirk worked, which meant that getting him to respond to his questions probably wasn't an option.

But that didn't mean he wasn't going to try.

Spending a lot of time with (Y/n) meant hearing her complain a lot. He didn't really mind, since he liked to hear her voice in general, it didn't really matter what she was talking about, plus she knew a lot of tea about everyone and everything. And one such thing was Endeavor, because after she had spent time with the Todoroki family during the internship, she had seen firsthand what a dick Endeavor was. So, naturally, Shinso knew as well.

"Hey, Endeavor," Shinso called back, a calm look on his face as he turned around for only a split second before continuing to run. "You're a dick." Even before he turned back around, he saw the shock evident on the pro hero's face. But, just as he thought, he didn't respond verbally, even though it wasn't really a question, it was more of a statement.
