Chapter Eleven

To your immense amount of surprise, it was Shinso who helped you with your decision on where to go for your internship. The two of you had been going to the cat cafe after your training with Aizawa - which he had recently joined in on - pretty much every day. You were regulars there now, and the servers even had your orders ready before you got there, and since Shinso loved cats, you were okay with it.

"So, Endeavor-san sent you a request?" Shinso furrowed his eyebrows, petting a small grey cat - one that matched his purple sweatshirt that had three small cats on it. "But didn't you and Todoroki-san have, like, a huge fight thing at the festival? You would think he would hate you."

You shrugged. "I really have no idea why Todoroki-san flipped out on me like that. I've got to give him the benefit of the doubt." You frowned, letting three of the cats climb into your lap as you sipped your (f/drink). "But as for Endeavor-san, I have no idea. I mean, he is the number two hero, right? So maybe it wouldn't be the worst idea." You cringed. "But I can't imagine spending all that time with Todoroki-san if he really hates me."

Shinso looked at you and sighed. "Look, as much as I'm all for you not talking to that dual-haired asshole again, getting to intern under Endeavor-san is a great opportunity. He may be an ass just like his son, but that's not really something you can pass up."

Groaning, you leaned back onto the wall, allowing the cats to clamber all over you. "I mean, Kamui Woods sent me an offer, too. And he doesn't seem as horrible."

"Dude," Shinso stared at you with his tired eyes. "I'm serious. Like, seriously serious. Being a hero means you need to put aside any personal differences and do what's best in the long run."

"I keep telling you that you're the one who should be the hero, Hitoshi-kun," you grinned. "Although, I guess you will be soon enough." Shinso's cheeks blushed a light pink at the compliment.

"Thanks," he muttered. You couldn't help but smile at him, he was just the most precious guy you knew. Ever since the two of you had become friends, you had been feeling incredibly guilty that you had been basically forced into a spot in the hero course when wanted to be there more than anyone you had met - except maybe Midoriya.

The two of you finished up your time in the cafe, but when you stepped outside, it was a lot colder than it had been before, and you had left your sweatshirt at the cafe during your last shift.

"Holy shit, it's cold," you held your arms close to your body as you looked up and down the sidewalk. You lived pretty far away, and Shinso walked the other direction. If not, you probably would have asked him if you could link arms while you walked - it was that cold.

Suddenly, as cliche as a rom com movie, you felt something on your shoulder. When you looked down, you saw it was Shinso's purple cat sweatshirt, and the boy was avoiding eye contact with you while blushing.

"Just take it," he muttered. "You can give it back to me once you get back from your internship. With Endeavor-san." You still had to turn in your decision to Aizawa-sensei, but Shinso had pretty much convinced you. A gentle smile on your face, you slipped on the warm sweatshirt, inhaling the scent of lavender and vanilla.

"I'll see you later, Hitoshi-kun," you pulled the tired boy into a hug and after letting go, gave him a wave as you walked in the other direction.

It had been a while since you had gotten any new Pokemon friends. Well, by a while, it was more like since the Sports Festival with Todoroki, but it was usually a little more of a common occurrence than than that. The only thing you could think was that the Anti-Pokemon Groups were upping their game, which just made your heart hurt.
