Pat's P.O.V.

Come on

I had to not only lie to my leader and boyfriend about being knocked out, but also now shes been kidnapped again!

It's been a few days since she was captured, and Red Leader always goes to her room to do something.

What is he doing???

Guess I'll find out.

I walked down the corridor of cells, until I reached hers. Red Leader was in there. I could hear him. I opened the door, and she was on the ground, blood surrounding her.

Oh my lord!

Shes hurt! Hes hurting her!

"Sir?!" I shouted.

He turned to me. "Patryk? What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I-I came to check on the prisoner." I answered.

"That's not your position in this army, soldier." He said sternly.

"May I speak to you outside?" I asked.

"We can continue this discussion in my office tonight. Get to the training stations and guide the new recruits. We will speak later. You are dismissed soldier." He said, turning back to the poor defenseless girl laying on the floor beneath him.

"Y-Yes sir..." I said, turning away. I spared a glance towards her. She looked back at me, with a pleading gaze. Like she was screaming for help. But I turned back. I'll try and help her. I wont let him hurt her.

I was walking towards Red Leaders office. When I arrived, I knocked on the door. "State you name." I heard.

"Patryk (whatever his last name is) sir!" I answered.

"Come in."

I opened the door, and Red Leader was at his desk, doing some paperwork. "So, Patryk. What was it you needed to see me about?" He asked. It took me a minute to find the right words.

"Well sir, um..." I paused for a moment. "I was hoping to discuss prisoner 276."

He looked up. "And what about her?" He asked.

"Well, I was wondering why you are hurting her. She isnt an enemy, is she? If she is, I could help with some research on whichev-"

"Pat." He said sternly. I stopped speaking. "You needn't to worry. She isnt an enemy. Nor can she do anything to harm us. Thomas was lying. I was able to put the pieces together." He answered.

"Thomas?"

"Prisoner 164." He answered.

"Oh."

"Is there anything else, you wanted to ask?"

"Yes, actually." I answered. "If she isnt an enemy, why would she need to be punished?"

His expression grew angry, furious even. But then, he came to a stop. He sat back down in his chair. His expression now calm.

"I dont know Patryk. Maybe its because-" he cut himself off. "Can you keep a secret?"

"Yes sir!"

"Good. Well, this girl, Y/N. She moved in with us back at Edds place. She knew I was the Red Leader. Yet, she didnt tell anyone. I got the opportunity to examine her fighting skills, and sent you two to kidnap her. Well, somehow, because someone couldnt do their jobs, " he glared at me for a second. "She escaped. Her father came, and started beating her. For some reason, I helped her, and killed her father. Took her to a hospital, and yeah. Thomas told her something, and she became distant with everyone. Started cutting even."

"And so you beat her still?!" I asked with rage. I didnt even care anymore that this man would kill would kill me at any time he desired. I was furious. "How could you? Didnt she grow up in an abusive home? So why the hell would you put her through more abuse, when clearly you care about this girl?!" I slammed my fists on the desk. He seemed angry.

"Do. Not. Raise. Your. Voice. At. Your. Leader. Understand?"

I pulled back. "Y-Yes sir..." he sat back down. "So, what does any of that have to do with hitting her? Its obvious she hasnt done anything wrong."

"Patryk." He stated. "The reason I ask you to keep this between us is because..." he trailed off. He sighed. "Because I'm afraid I may have grown some sort of attraction to this girl in a more-than-friendly way."

Wait.

Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait.

He likes her?

"So...you're saying you like her?" I asked. He simply nodded. "Well, if you care for her, why are you hurting her?"

"If I'm being honest Patryk..." he sighed. "Because I'm trying to push away those feelings. I believe if I continue this, to see how weak she really is, maybe thos feeling will stop."

"That's stupid."

He looked at me, a confused, yet stern expression on his face. "Excuse me?"

"If that's what you wanted all along, then you would have left this feeling a long time ago. If I may say, I feel like this isnt working because seeing her weak makes you actually care for her more. To see her in a defenseless state, may make you want to stand by her more than usual."

"..."

"Sir?"

"Get out."

"Tord, I-"

"I said, get out."

I left. Even though I knew I shouldn't have. I should have stayed longer, maybe he would've let her go. But, I left.

Guess I'll have to save her myself.
