Cassia felt as if she were being dragged out of the station. Hoseok had her left hand and was walking as fast and as angry as he could muster. Jungkook was holding onto her right hand almost running to keep up. By the time they got far enough away from the station, near Hoseok's car, he stopped and turned toward Cassia. He stared at her a long minute, putting his hands on the sides of her face.
"Are you okay?" Cassia lips broke into a slight smile, which she tried to hide, and nodded her head. Hoseok pulled her into his chest, wrapping his arms around her so tight she didn't think she could still catch a breath.
"Jungkook, thank you for calling me."
"I'm sorry, hyung. I should have known better. I thought he would be different."
"You couldn't have known. It's not like he's always around." Hoseok spoke over the top of Cassia's head, missing the grin that was getting wider by the minute. "Don't worry about it, okay. The only thing that matters is that she is okay," he continued as he dropped his hands to her shoulders. As he pulled away, her smile vanished. She didn't want him to know that she was extremely excited that he had called her his girlfriend. She would save that information to share with him later.
"Go on and get her home. I'm going to go visit my dad." Jungkook turned and walked toward his car which was five or six car lengths away. Hoseok watched him leave, knowing he felt bad for what had just happened. He vowed to have a talk with him later. For now, however, he looked down at Cassia.
"Are you ready to get home?" He spoke softly to her as if she had been damaged, but she wanted him to know that she was okay. She pushed herself up on her tiptoes and planted a kiss in the middle of his left cheek.
"Yes, I'm ready," she replied. Once the shock left his face, she snickered and took his hand in hers. "Come on. I thought we were leaving." He opened the passenger side door for her and walked around to the driver's side, catching a glimpse of Cassia's smile as he settled into his seat.
"Why do you look so happy? Don't get me wrong. It's great to see. Most people would just be really shaken up right now. Especially with what you have been through." He held his hand on the key, waiting for her to answer.
"Oh, it's nothing." She straightened up and cleared her throat, acting more like herself as he started the car. He smirked slightly as he pulled out of the parking spot.
**********
"Jungkook is that you?" The elder Mr. Jeon yelled from the family room.
"It's me, dad." Jungkook kicked off his shoes before stepping up into the house and crossing the kitchen. The family room was just opposite the kitchen, and as he walked through, he smelled the fresh scent of Samgyeopsal. Pork belly was one of Jungkook's favorites and something that wasn't made too often in his house.
He walked across the walkway into the family room. His dad stood up when he saw his son, welcoming him into the room, but realized something was wrong.
"Is everything okay?"
"Is mom here?" Jungkook asked looking around the room.
"She went upstairs after supper; said she didn't feel well. What's going on?" Mr. Jeon pushed his son gently into the chair beside him and took the seat where he had been.
"I need to talk to you." Jungkook hesitated for a moment. His elbows rested on his knees and his fingers intertwined together as he looked at the floor. "I need to talk to you about Cass."
The look that crossed Mr. Jeon's face was not a pleasant one. However, it wasn't sinister either. He looked hurt.
"I took her to meet hyung today. He wasn't as happy to meet her as I thought he would be." Jungkook's dad sat up and leaned closer.
