Cassia's eyes jolted open, her body drenched in sweat. She heard her heart beating out of her chest. What in the world had she just seen!? And what did it mean!?
"Ho--." She started to yell for Hoseok, but stopped short. Her mind raced as she tried to figure out what to do. How would it look to Hoseok, to Jungkook, to all of the guys, were she to just start blaming all of her horrible life on JK's mom. She had to stop and think rationally. Doing several of her breathing exercises, she was able to calm down enough to stop shaking. She would definitely need to see Dr. Park and she would need to see him soon.
Cassia laid awake the rest of the night going back over the dream she had, trying to find any clues or meanings to it. She pulled out her phone several times looking up meanings of dreams, wondering if she could be wrong in any way. If this was true, things were going to change. She wasn't sure what that meant, but she knew it probably wouldn't be good.
She answered groggily when she heard a knock on her door. The door cracked open and Hobi's head popped in.
"Good morning, sleepyhead." He stood at the door as Cassia watched him. "Do you want to come and have breakfast with us?" Inside Cassia's mind, she began to panic. She couldn't sit there with them knowing what was going on in her brain. They would figure her out for sure. She sat up and yawned.
"Thank you, but I'm really not that hungry. My stomach feels sort of wonky." Hoseok opened the door further and walked in, sitting next to Cassia on the bed. He placed his hand on top of her's where they sat in her lap.
"Are you okay? Is something bothering you?" He always seemed to know how to read her... he was getting way too good at it. She looked at him, a frown etched across her face; she shook her head. "Do you need to talk about it?" Cassia shook her head again. "Okay, well, if you need me, just let me know. You know I'm here for you." He leaned over and kissed her forehead as he squeezed her hand and stood to leave. She grasped his hand just before it left her's. Looking back at her, he saw the worry and panic on her face. He sat back down next to her.
"What is it, Cass?" She knew she shouldn't say anything about this, but she knew she could trust him. She knew he would believe her, right? But JK was like a brother to him and had been for a while. How was their connection anymore important than his to Jungkook? However, she also couldn't not say anything either. Things were about to get really ugly, and she would need support from somewhere.
"I had a dream a couple of weeks ago. I never got the chance to tell you about it because you had to go work on a song and then I forgot about it really." Cassia began to speak softly until she found her voice. "I was on a train and it was raining. I could hear my mom talking to someone. Then you were there and you said some pretty mean things to me." Her breath caught in her throat as the thought invaded her memory. Remembering what Dr. Park told her, she took a deep breath and tried to continue.
"What did I do?" Hobi asked her cautiously.
"It doesn't matter. You would never do that in real life. Dr. Park helped me see that." She looked at Hoseok and smiled. "Anyway, last night I had the same dream, only this time I was six, and I saw who my mother was talking to. And this person was talking about keeping me away from my dad. Oh, and you weren't there." She smiled trying to make him more at ease, but he caught her quick mention about who her mother was talking to.
"Who was she talking to?" Cassia looked down at her hands as he spoke.
"She was talking to Jungkook's mom." She could feel Hobi's gaze on her.
"Are you sure, Cass? That's a really big accusation to make." Cassia felt her heart sink. She felt betrayed.
"I'm not saying it was her. I'm just telling you my dream. You asked me what was wrong, so I'm telling you." Her voice got heated and she began to feel all those horrible feelings she knew she would never have to feel again.
