6 months later~
It's been half a year since Jinmi killed Xufeng and the Emporer died. She hasn't woken up yet. I have been checking up on her everyday, hoping she'd awake from her long slumber. Today I'm gonna try again. I was on my way to Jinmi's until I heard Runyu and Kuanglu talking.
"Your Majesty, I think Jinmi May wake up soon so you both can finally get married." She said hesitantly and I frowned. I still love him with a passion and the fact that he uses me for Jinmi is the worse.
"Yeah once she's awake we'll immediately plan. No one can stop us from getting married." Runyu said with dominance. My heart sank. Why is he so obsessed with my best friend?
I quietly sighed and made my way to Jinmi's room. I opened her door and closed it behind me. I sat down on the edge of her bed and caressed her hair.
"Jinmi-ah...wake up please? You've been through so much...don't sleep it away..." I said softly. I held her hand and immediately felt it twitch. My eyes widened and I gasped.
"Jinmi? Jinmi!" I yelled happily causing the maids to snap their heads back at me. They all saw her waking up and left somewhere.
Jinmi groaned and opened her eyes fully.
"Renxi?" She said with a sleepy voice. I
Smiled with tears in my eyes.
"Yeah it's me...how are you feeling?" I asked while gently pulling her up. She looked at me and something told me that she had a flashback of everything that happened.
"How long have I been asleep?" She looked at me and I replied.
"For half a year..." I said slowly and she nodded.
"I killed Phoenix...and I thought that I felt hatred when I yelled his name but it was all...hurt...did I accidentally murder him?" She looked at me with teary eyes and I didn't say anything.
"I don't have any proof but I think you killed the wrong person." I said and she looked at me with an "explain please" kind of looked.
"Well Xufeng was there when you found your parents but he looked as shocked as you...there is no way he could've pulled off murdering your parents with that look and were close and he would tell me the truth no matter what...I don't think he did it but we need proof." I said and her eyes widened.
"So if I killed Xufeng on accident...then I'll kill myself too...I have no reason to live anymore..." she said while sobbing. I hugged her and rocked her back and forth.
"Jinmi can I tell you something?" I said in her ear and she pulled away and looked at me softly.
"Xufeng and I lied about loving each other...we've been staging it to make you and Runyu jealous because...I'm in love with Runyu and Xufeng is in love with you but the plan for me hasn't really worked because Runyu still has his eyes laid on you...so I failed...it hurt me seeing you both smiling at each other...I wanted to just run away and cry at the wedding but then I realized that when you spit up an elixir that something was controlling you. We should go back to the floral realm so that they can explain it to us." She nodded and got up quickly. I held her and we were about to leave but Runyu walked in.
"Mi-er! Mi-er your awake!" He yelled and ran up to her, hugging her. Jinmi looked at me with apology in her eyes and I sadly smiled. She then got out of the hug and bowed to Runyu.
"Oh Jinmi, while you were sleep...Runyu became to Heavenly Emporer." I said to her and Runyu looked at me. I didn't give him a single glance and just stared at Jinmi. Her eyebrows raised.
"Oh.." she said lowly.
"That means we can plan our wedding, Mi-er." He said with a smile. I looked away in pain. Even though the Elixir was no longer in my body my heart still ached badly. I waited for The new Heavenly Emperor and Kuanglu to leave. Once they did I grabbed Jinmi's hand.
"Let's go back home." I smiled and we teleported to the floral realm. Once we were there we immediately requested to see The Great Floral Fairy. She came walking in and we stood up and bowed to her.
"Great Floral Fairy...I'm here to ask some questions...please be honest..." I said softly and she nodded hesitantly.
"Why and how did we both spit up an Elixir. They looked similar and we both had them removed the same way..." I said and she nodded probably already guessing that this was what we were going to ask.
"Well, the reason you two have elixir are because you
are twins. The elixir's were given to you by your mother. She didn't want you to go through the same hardships she went through so she fed you both two different but very similar Elixir's. If you both were ever to experience love they'd break and you'd spit them out. Renxi's elixir was a bit different. Here's made her have a voice in her head. The voice then appeared after you fell in love with Runyu. Same with you Jinmi when you killed Phoenix. You both are in love with them. However, Jinmi since you killed Phoenix it will be difficult to find his spirit to bring him back but I know you'll find a way. Renxi, you love Runyu but sadly he is obsessed with Jinmi so he might not love you back. Jinmi, you aren't really married to Runyu, Renxi is. She was first born therefore she is Runyu's. The Water Immortal is indeed your father Renxi. I'm sorry we had to keep such a secret and I'm Rey you've never got to talk to him before his passing." She said in guilt.
I looked at Jinmi. We're twins? I'm first born so I'm married to Runyu? The Water Immortal was my father? So is Zifen, The Floral Goddess?
This is a lot to take in but I am happy that I'm really the one married to Runyu....but how will he truly feel about this?
I turned to Jinmi and hugged her tightly.
"No wonder were so close. It's because we're twins!" Jinmi cried in happiness. I nodded and cried from joy as well. That explains why I was in deep sadness when I heard about The Water Immortal's death.
I have to avenge my father. Whoever killed him will pay.
"How are we suppose to tell The Jade Emperor that I'm his real fiancée? Will he still love Jinmi?" I looked down at the floor in defeat.
"Don't worry Renxi. Hopefully he'll find out the right way soon but now, take a rest. You both have a lot going on." The Great Floral fairy said and we nodded. We bid our goodbyes and left the floral realm, back to the heavenly realm.
