Renxi POV

It's been a while since we have been trying to look for Xufeng's spirit. We eventually found it in a cave. His body glistened. It was hollow, it couldn't be touched. We needed a golden elixir to bring him back to life so Yanyou, Match Maker, Jinmi and I went on an adventure to snake mountain. I heard there were a bunch of snakes there but Jinmi didn't mind since she was only worried about Xufeng and Xufeng only. She wanted so bad for the love of her life to come back.

We have been walking in the mountain for a while now. The only two that complained were the Match Maker and Yanyou. They were tired of walking up hills. I laughed every time one of them would fall. We had just defeated a bunch of snakes. I had gotten bit by one but didn't make a big deal of it since I've been through worse pain. We finally made it to the Match Maker's brothers home to get the heavenly light to bring Xufeng back.
He looked quite young for his age. He told us about how the former Empress thought he was dead and had intimacy with the late Emperor which made Xufeng. He never held a grudge about it. He just wanted her to be happy. He then asked for color and Jinmi immediately gave her eye color to him. He put it into a ball and gave it to Jinmi.
"Please give this to Tuyao." He said with a smile and she nodded. He then gave us the heavenly light which Jinmi held with her true form and we made our way out. The mountain was collapsing under us and we realized that the man who gave us heavenly light was defeating his own primordial spirit. Everything was going to disappear but I was too dizzy to move. The snake venom was finally wearing off on me. Everyone yelled my name since I was ontop of a shaking mountain but I didn't mind. I didn't mind dying. I was then pulled up and carried in someone's arms. I looked up to see Runyu. My heart started to race. We all had then teleported out of snake mountain. I was weakly holding onto Runyu and he noticed how I had gotten pale. The others had left including Jinmi. I told her to
Leave so that she had time to bring her lover back. Successfully she left and I groaned in pain. Runyu then teleported us to the heavenly realm. I was sore and in so much pain. It hurt to even move. I groaned even more as I felt the venom slowly spread out through my whole body.
"Everyone leave the room!" Runyu said in dominance. They obeyed. He laid me down on a bed and checked my whole body. He then realized that I was being poisoned. He used his prowess to try to bring me back but it failed.
"I'm not letting you die Xi-er" he said weakly and continued. I held his hand weakly and he stopped.
"It's...too late...stop it..." I looked at him and placed my hands on his cheeks.
"Runyu...if I die...please take care of Jinmi for me...please? She's my sister..." I said lowly and my hands then dropped. His eyes widened and that's when he came up with the plan to give half of his life to me. I had already passed out by then.

Runyu's POV

Renxi had just told me that she was Jinmi's sister. Does that mean she's my real fiancée or is she younger? I was curious and I didn't want Renxi to die so I gave her half of my life. I felt weak but I didn't mind.
I was too weak to move so I laid down next to Renxi on the bed. I then wrapped my arms around her and fell into a deep slumber.

Days Later~
Renxi POV

I woke up to my whole body aching. It only lasted a couple minutes and it all finally stopped. I felt a presence next to me so I snapped my neck to see Runyu asleep by my side. He looked really pale. His lips were dry and his eyes looked darker. I checked his pulse to see that it was slow. My eyes widened so I gave him some prowess. He woke up to me doing so and he immediately stopped me.
"Stop it...I gave you half of my prowess...please don't give it back to me..." he said sleepily and I slowly nodded. I helped him sit up on the bed. It was silent for a while until he spoke.
"Renxi...what did you mean when you said that you were Jinmi's sister?" He looked at me with curiosity so I responded.
"We're twins...we didn't find out until earlier though..." I said lightly. He held my hand and stared at me for a moment.

"Who is older?" The grip on my hands had gotten tighter. I don't want him to go to me just because were actually the ones to be married...he loves Jinmi and...I have to accept that...as much as I hate it when he looks at her with so much love and cherishes her I don't want to be used.
"Jinmi is older...by 10 minutes...she's your fiancée." I sadly smiled at him and he sighed in relief. My heart ached more in that very moment. Was he happy that I wasn't his fiancée?
I got up but immediately fell. I was still a little weak. I groaned from the pain. I felt strong hands try to help me up. It was Runyu. He was weak as well, more weaker than me.
He was going to pull me up until he fell causing me to fall back as well. He was now on top of me. Our lips touched. It was accidental but we then both closed our eyes, falling into the kiss.
It had gotten more and more intimate. He wrapped his arm around my body. I was slowly losing air since we've been kissing for a long time. I broke the kiss and stared at him tiredly.
"Your too weak right now...we can't do this..." I slowly sat up, bringing him with me. I got up and also helped him up. I laid him down on the bed and he sighed and closed his eyes. I was going to leave until I felt my arm being grabbed. I was turned around.
"Sleep with me, please?" He looked at me with tired eyes. I slowly nodded. He pulled me onto the bed right next to him and wrapped his bough arms around me. He pulled the covers over us both. We stared at each other until we both fell asleep.
