Once I was ready for the day, I rushed out of the house. I was planning on meeting up with Perry and Madaline. Josh and Andrew would meet us later. The five of us were going to go eat lunch and then meet up with the other eight.
I still couldn't believe what had happened with Danny. My answer was definitely what I wanted.

1 hour later....."Hey," Perry said, turning towards me.
"Yeah?" I responded.
"Something's up. Tell us." All four of them were turned towards me.
I sighed. There was no going around this.
"Danny asked me out last night," I told them.
"What did you say?" Andrew questioned.
"I told him no." The four of them gasped.
"I thought you had the hugest crush on him, though," Josh said.
"I did. But last night, when we kissed..." I trailed off.
"What happened?"
"I felt no spark. Sure, I enjoyed it, but it really didn't feel like anything. I didn't feel any fire," I answered.
"I gotcha girl," Perry said. She nudged my side with her elbow.
"Madaline, did you feel anything when you kissed Josh?" I asked.
"I have something I want to admit," said Josh before Madaline could say anything.
"Go ahead. You can trust us," I said.
"Well, it's kind of hard for me to say. But I've been hiding it for a few years now," Josh said.
"Bruh. Just tell us. We are your best friends." Perry was stern.
"Well...."
