I'm, ugh whatever.

"Can you help me with this?" Sambit ni Leon.

I pouted.

"My chef soul is not around at the moment."

He laughed so loud that I had to cover my ears. Ghad, my precious eardrums.

"Seriously?" He complained.

I smiled at him.

"Yes, seriously."

I stood up and went to hug him from the back. I chuckled when he froze. Surprised, huh.

"I'm fine doing all the cooking as long as you're assisting me like this."

"Really?"

"Uh,huh."

I hugged him tighter.

"Isn't it uncomfortable?" I asked.

He turned to face me. I stared at his smiling face. Was he ever this handsome?

"I know I'm handsome but you're melting me with that kind of stare."

I blinked three times and laughed.

"As if!" I was about to walk away when he hugged me.

"It's never uncomfortable when it's you, Zia." He whispered.

I gulped. Him calling me Zia is just the perfect way to make everything in me go blank.

I felt his lips on my forehead and I closed my eyes for a moment. He gave me a peck on my lips and went back to cooking.

"It's almost done. We can eat, then."

After a few seconds, my body finally recovered. That darn lion.

"I'll go prepare the table—no, wait. Can we eat by the rooftop?"

"If that's what you want." He smiled.

I brought the things up and prepared everything. Leon came up with the food.

Kumain lang kami at pinag-usapan ang mga bagay bagay.

"I wanted to do star gazing with you but look..." I pouted.

"I guess the stars hid somewhere so you won't be able to stare at them." He chuckled.

"Whatever."

"That's fine. You get to stare at me, then."

Muntik na akong mabulunan sa sinabi niya.

"Ang lakas ng hangin, ano?"

"Is it? I don't think so." He smiled widely.

I rolled my eyes on him and continued eating.

"If we weren't engaged in this arrange marriage, where do you think you are right now?" I asked out of the blue.

I stared at him but he stared at the blank sky.

"House." Was his only answer.

"Really?"

He nodded.

Taong bahay pala ang Leon na'to? Parang di naman kapani-paniwala ah!

"You?" Bigla itong bumaling sa'kin.

I smiled at him and shifted my gaze on the blank sky. If we were not married, then where would I be? Aish. Bakit ko pa kasi natanong yun? Bumalik tuloy sa'kin.
