Chapter 2 Genius Level Testing

So I'm in a test to become the captain of Hyperion huh? Oh right, Himeko retired as captain because she was injured by the awakened Mei back in Nagazora among other health problems. Right now should be some time after the 3rd Honkai Eruption.

And now I have to take a written test to become the captain. I'm guessing it's not create your username and password.....I don't even have any training in regards to becoming a captain much less in a future apocalyptic world! *sigh* Guess I'm gonna have to cheese it or do something special.

Theresa left the room and had someone take her place. I'm guessing she's going to her office to review the submitted tests since she is the branch commander after all.

As far as I know, there doesn't seem to be anyone with a higher position than Captain except Theresa in the Far East Branch. And Captain commands Theresa as well!

Now that I think about it, the valkyries in the game sometimes call captain the commander instead. In retrospect, the captain is more of a commander than a captain.

I'm not sure if I like being in a position where I get a lot of recognition and authority, I'm fine with just a peaceful if not uneventful life. Still, the Honkai Impact fan in me wants to experience being the captain.

I hold up the tablet in front of me, I presume this is where I'll do the test. The tablet looks transparent, almost like a pane of glass. I turn it to the back and it doesn't actually display anything. Well that's convenient since people won't be able to cheat. The technology in this world sure is something I'm going to have to check out, especially the games.

The name of the test is "Captain Admittance Exam"

Ok gotta do something that'll get Theresa's attention.

1) How should troops respond to Honkai invasions?

Answer: Have them get into the Phalanx formation and poke the Honkai beasts to death.

2) What should Valkyries do to prepare for Honkai invasions?

Answer: Perform 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, and run 10km from the ship to the invasion for a powerup.

3) What would be the logical step if Hyperion were to be under attack?

Answer: Get on Helios and play real life Galactica.

4) Why do you want to be become the captain of Hyperion?

Answer: To have my own harem and even get paid for it.

The test seems to have pretty common/basic questions for a captain of this world and it asks for opinionated answers as well. Either I got transmigrated after the hard part or it's really this easy to be the captain of Hyperion. Now that that I think about it, a captain doesn't really need to be strong in combat, with Himeko being the exception. So it does make sense if they're just testing the applicants' knowledge and character. Well, I don't think Theresa is gonna like my answers unless I explain to her my purpose. Let's just finish the test for now.

I submitted my joke of a test and pondered while I wait for a response.

Doesn't this mean that I've been isekai-ed and that Dawei's Blessing was a portal? I often read isekai manga but I never thought that this phenomenon would happen to me.

Oh man I can't wait to create my own harem with the main girls......nope! Just realized 90% of the main girls are lesbian or already have a love interest. What's more is that many of them would also be illegal. Not to even mention my reluctance to communicate with real life women, or maybe people in general.

Ok I should take a few steps back and not get ahead of myself. So what's true is that I've been isekai-ed into the Honkai universe. That means I should have something special about me right? Like maybe super human physical abilities or a weapon that's more powerful than the God Keys.

....I feel that my body seems to be lighter and a little stronger. Wait, that's it? Dawei is expecting me to survive in world where people have god-like powers with just a ~10% power boost!?!?!?

You've gotta be kidding me, I'll be exactly what Sirin describes humans as, an insect.

System Updated. Captain On Bridge

Wha-? A window popped up in front of me and it looked exactly like the main screen in Honkai Impact 3, except there was no valkyrie on bridge.

Achievement Unlocked
Weapon Master: You will be able to bypass restrictions and wield any weapon.

Um, I don't remember that being an achievement in the game. But still weapon master huh? I do remember one of the side stories mentioning the captain being able to wield Shamash. So the captain's special ability is to be able to wield any weapon. That's certainly a surprise.

SO WHAT?! What's the point of the skill if I'm this weak? I bet I'll be burned to a crisp before I can even swing Shamash.

The main menu information seems to be the same as the one I have on the app: Lvl85, 95,828,273 coins, and the abysmal 92 crystals.

I clicked on my profile and it seems to have something extra.

HP: 300 Atk: 75 Crit: 10 SP: 50 DEF: 100

Oh I'm so gonna die very quickly. These stats aren't even enough to qualify as a valkyrie. The captain truly is just a regular human.

All the other menus seem to be locked, maybe it's because I'm not officially a captain yet. I'm going to have to become a captain else I'm just gonna die quickly or hide as a shut-in neet in this universe.

The applicants around me were all discussing about the test and the sound of high heels hitting the marble floor could be heard in front of the room.

I decide to close the window, don't know how I did it but it seems to respond to what I'm thinking.

A black haired woman wearing glasses was at the front the room.

"Will applicant number 6969420 named Captain please report to Branch Commander Theresa's office."

People in the room began chuckling and some full on laughing at what was said. Oh man, I really should've put a normal name and number.

I quickly stood up and avoided the gazes of the spectators and walked up to the black haired lady. She had a serious face on and I think I've seen her before.

"Uh that'd be me, I'm captain" I said hesitantly.

"I'll lead the way." She said as she guided me out of the testing room.

Yessss! Now I can talk directly to Theresa.

But how am I going to convince her to hire me?
