Honkai Impact 3: The Captain's Story

Eight Years Later

Welt walked out of the temporary base in St. Fountain. The base looks like a regular apartment in the city. It was the building Mei and Adam decided on when they first arrived to the city. [A/N: APHO MC's name is apparently Adam according to wiki so I'll just roll with it.]

The street outside was devoid of life or sound. Citizens no longer inhabit this city and are replaced by mechanical monsters instead. The monsters around the block were cleared out by Mei's squad so there was truly no signs of life except for the team in St. Fountain.

He walked down the street and approached a woman[Not Dio]sitting quietly on a bench.

It was Mei.

She looked up at the moon with a sorrowful expression.

The city was filled with a red glow that comes from the crystals which gives the abandoned city an even more eerie feel. The city lights and especially the golden moon helps counteract the menacing red glow.

Welt stopped next to her and looked up at the moon as well.

"Thinking about the past again?" (Welt).

"Yea... looking at the moon always reminds me of him and the hope he brought us. But it hurts knowing that he doesn't get to enjoy the peace he fought desperately for with us..."(Mei)

"You're right, it does take me back to the time I first met him. He has always been passionate on anything he does and the decisions he make seem to always lead to the best result. His choice at that time was to put the whole of humanity before himself and it worked as he expected...but at the expense of his freedom."(Welt)

"He's within our sights yet we are unable reach him..." Mei pointed her right hand towards the moon almost wanting to grab it.

"It would be very risky to unlock the seal for even a little and he would strongly advise against it as well. Einstein and the others probably wouldn't know how to even make the seal budge thinking back on the overwhelming power he used on the seal..."

------------ 8 years ago, the day humanity sealed 99% of Honkai.

Humanity's most powerful beings as well as Herscherrs were unleashing their unique skills which could be seen all the way from Earth. Combat Satellites and other machines were all firing at a single target: The 14th Herscherr, Herscherr of The End. This battle has been ongoing for 3 days now, everyone had looks of exhaustion even if they took turns resting.

A space ship flew near the area and someone jumped and landed on the moon, near the heroes. This person immediately brightened their mood and strengthened their determination.

It was Captain.

He wore his beloved captain uniform but he also had a coat on top which was almost like a flowing cape.

Not all heroes wear capes but those who do tend to look cooler.

Captain has returned from his stamina regeneration. The time on Earth is just reaching dawn.

He has been using his ultimate valkyrie and equipment setup every time he fights. This means that he can only fight for less than one minute each time and fall back to regenerate. He goes back once every morning, afternoon, and night.

The time he spends fighting is significantly less than the other combatants but the others can all agree on one thing: Captain is no doubt the strongest of them all. They also know the reason for his absurd power: he is the Honkai God. Thus they concluded that Captain could use their unique powers as well since it's essentially Honkai manipulation. It was revealed sometime in their journey as the Herscherr's could feel the presence of their creator in him. But they understood that Captain's intention and goal was always for humanity. His personality doesn't match that of an evil God either. However, Captain still has not revealed that he was a player and was probably made the Honkai by Dawei.
