Chapter 13 Practicing QTEs

"Alright girls, you guys are going to help me make a good impression for me in Friday's class!" I addressed Mei, Bronya, and Kiana.

It is currently the next day and my body still feels sore. I'm currently in the girls' private training room. There were exercise machines on the side but the main objective of the room is to provide battle simulation.

"But I don't wanna! I want to play video games right now!" Kiana complained.

"Idiot, you were part of the reason why Captain had to suffer a concussion." Bronya reprimanded Kiana.

"I'm helping you improve your QTE, that means you get to spend more time being physical with Mei." I said to Kiana.

"Ohhhh! That's like killing 2 birds with 1 stone!"

"Um, I'm not sure if I like being used as a bargaining chip." Mei said in a low voice.

I then looked to the side. Theresa, Himeko, and Fu Hua were there.

"I know Fu Hua is my student so she could learn from this. But why are you 2 here?"

"Is it wrong to want to see my adorable fairies and my dependable Captain?" Himeko asked.

"Ahem, I guess you aren't wrong."

"I wanna have my own QTE!" Theresa blurted out.

I put my hand on Theresa's head.

"Oi, you messed with me yesterday and you're already asking for favors?"

"Pleaaaaase" Theresa looked at me with hopeful eyes. How is she over 40 years old?!

"I would like to witness this 'QTE' and perhaps learn from it as well." Fu Hua requested.

"Hah, fine. I'll see if I can come up with QTEs for you guys. First off, let's improve Kiana's group first. Theresa, help me with the controls."

"Okay!"

I tell Theresa to summon 1 Chariot class Honkai beast.

"Ok girls, from what I've analyzed from your previous battle, there's still 1 more QTE that you could perform. Mei, try the air spin again and knock it in the air."

Mei spun the katana above her head like last time and the Chariot class actually went airborne.

"Kiana, jump and do a hard spin kick at the beast!"

The beast landed hard on the ground and became temporarily stunned.

"Bronya, now smash down with Bunny-chan!"

Project bunny slammed down on the stunned beast and immediately squashed it to death.

"Woah! It works even if we change orders."

"Let me explain your QTEs. Kiana and Mei can activate QTEs when the enemy is knocked into the air. Bronya's QTE activates when an enemy is stunned. The best way to deal with a lot of enemies is to gather them closely and deal powerful attacks. Bronya's ultimate should do just that. Now you girls take this knowledge and practice together."

"Captain, Bronya has a way to quickly gain Honkai energy." Bronya said as Bunny-chan threw out a yellow sphere. The sphere expanded once it touched the ground.

It's her team skill!

"Girls gather at the sphere!" Bronya, Mei, and Kiana all huddled up in the sphere.

"Ohhh! I feel my Honkai energy rising!"(Kiana)

"I feel power surging in my body!"(Mei).

I walked up to Bronya.
