Chapter 11 Testing Captain's Capabilities

I walked to the center-front of the room where Theresa was and she moved aside. Himeko stopped where Theresa was.

The room was silent at that point. There were around 60 students in the giant room. All female.

"Hey Captain!" A tuna (Kiana) in the room decided to break the silence and wave to me.

Goddammit, let me introduce myself!

Bronya, Mei, and Fu Hua all face palmed but decided to greet me with a wave as well.

Other students started murmuring.

"Captain?! Our new teacher is also the captain of Hyperion as well!?"

"It must be! Even the class stars know him!"

I gotta clear this misunderstanding. Even though they're not wrong...

I want to establish a friendly relationship before our statuses get far apart.

"Ahem, Hello class A-1. My name is Captain and you all can just call me that from now on."

Some whisperings could be heard.

"Ohhh! So it was his name that's Captain."

"That's certainly a unique name."

I continue my introduction.

"I will teach this class 2 times a week: Monday and Friday. The subject will be combat strategies. Alright, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me."

A student raised her hand.

"You there." I looked at her.

"What exactly is combat strategies?"

"You girls all have Honkai powers that make your physical prowess beyond that of normal humans, which is why Ms. Himeko is teaching you all martial arts and power usage. I will be furthering your combat knowledge by integrating different strategies to successfully deal with enemies."

Another student raised her hand and I picked her.

"If you're substituting Ms. Himeko, does this mean you're powerful as well?"

"No, I'm actually a regular human."

My answer seems to have caused a commotion.

"A regular human is teaching us?!"

"How can he teach us if he probably haven't even fought before?!"

"Silence!" Himeko called out.

The whole class quieted down. I need to learn from Himeko.

Fu Hua raised her hand and I pointed at her to show I picked her.

"Is it possible for you to show your combat knowledge through a battle simulation?" Fu Hua asked.

"Eh?!" She's probably helping me save face or actually trying to see if I'm qualified to teach her. Either way, I don't wanna fight right now!

"Good idea! I wanna see what Captain can do too!" Kiana blurted out with Mei next to her trying to calm her down.

"Request permitted!" Theresa exclaimed.

Why are you choosing it for me?! I don't get a say in this?!

"Alright, I'll do it." Fuck it, let's hope I'll get some easy enemies.

"Alright class, let's move to the battle simulation stage" Theresa said.

I followed behind Theresa and Himeko with the whole class towards the battle simulation stage.

We reached an arena in a rather high elevation. Ah, it's the arena in the first chapter of the game!
