Ch.3 "I'm Hayes"

Today was 88 degrees in Charlotte, NC which I guess was record high for Mid September. Mom decided to take me sightseeing. She took me to local parks, Stores, Even took me to my new school, Davidson Day! Since it was so warm she took me to the lake which was only a few miles away from the house.

My mom was pretty fit for her age, She's 33 looking 25. She has an amazing body for her age and has a kid.

I grabbed my bikini, pair of Hollister shorts, with a cut off T-shirt for over my bathing suit.

During the ride we listened to Taylor Swifts Album 1989. "I wish you would came on" Which was my favorite song on the album. Even though I couldn't relate the slight bit. Ive never had a boyfriend or my heart broken by a boy. I liked the lyrics though, they had so much detail and real feelings in them.

Mom payed the parking fee while trying to find a nice shady parking spot.

She found one fairly close to the dock which was awesome! The lake was kind of crowded but not the dock. It was noon on a Saturday though so it makes sense, Together we layed out our beach towels and rested our bodies on them. I started off with laying on my back so my stomach could get some color because it was so light from the Oregon weather.

"I'm gonna get a way bigger splash than you Nash!" A boy yelled running from another boy.

"In your dreams Hayes!" Yelled the other as they jumped into the lake splashing both of us.

I quickly sat up surprised from the cold water laughing.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! We didn't see you!" The older one yelled his head popping out of the water.

"Yeah we're so sorry ladies!" The younger one exclaimed.

"You boys are fine, My daughter is laughing!" My mom joked.

They turned their attention towards me while I was still chuckling. The two boys started smiling and laughing to.

"Boys! I told you not to get in the water yet!? Not till you had your life jackets on! And you got these poor girls all soaked!" I assumed to be their mother shouted as she walked towards all of us.

The boys shared scared looks at one another.

"Really! We're fine! It's just water. No worries" I smiled.

"I'm sorry, Would you like to join us? My husband and daughter are bringing the boat around now! We're gonna be tubing." She smiled.

I gave my mom a hopeful look. She smiled.

"We'd love to!" My mom exclaimed.

"I'm Jane" My mom said.

"Elizabeth" The other woman said.

"And these are my two crazy boys" She said giving the wet boys a dirty look causing me to giggle.

I sat up from my towel and walked with the boys following their mom to the boat, I've never been tubing before so I was actually really excited. Kind of surprised mom let me go with complete strangers on their boat.

We got on the boat together and Elizabeth introduced us to her family. Older son Nash, Younger son Hayes, Younger daughter Skylynn and husband Chad.

I sat in the back of the boat enjoying the ride while my mom talked to Elizabeth and Chad.

The younger boy sat next to me still a little wet and smiled.

"What?" I laughed.

"Nothing, I'm just looking at you" He smiled.
