ch.12 "I'm falling for him"

My cheeks flushed with red from embarrassment, I didn't know what Hayes was going to say to Skylynns question but I was curious as well.

"Yeah Hayes, is she" Nash asked making it quite awkward for all of us.

"I don't know yet Sky" Hayes said placing his hand on mine under the table. He smiled sincerely his blue orbs starring right at mine, almost right through me. I felt weak, he was the person in control of all of my emotions and I couldn't deny that feeling he gave me when I was with him.

I've only know this boy for a short amount of time yet he was everything to me, I know all the wrong he's done but can't people change? He can't change his past, No one can change the past. If that was the case I think we all would. Yes maybe Hayes has dated lots of girls but that was before we met, and he's been nothing but kind to me, he's never gave me a reason to hate him. Maybe Hayes wants something, maybe everything that's happened Is for a reason. Perhaps Hayes and I could really work, could we really be something real?

I know I'm young and dumb, but I want this boy. I want to take a risk with him, because even though I hate to admit it, I'm falling for him. I'm falling for Hayes Grier and I can't stop myself.

*2 hours later*

Hayes and I were going to see a movie later tonight with Nash and some girl Hailey. I was kind of excited, I've never been on a date before, What do I wear? What do I say? How do I do my hair? I decided to curl my hair loosely with a little extra makeup than usual. I went with a nicer outfit light skinny jeans with a tanktop and cardigan with my black cardigan. I heard the doorbell ring and I raced downstairs. I grabbed my purse, took one final look in the mirror and opened the door sweetly.

Hayes was dressed in khaki pants and a white V-neck Tshirt revealing a little of his tan chest. He smelt amazing. "Hey, you look great" he said going in for a light hug. "Thanks. Are you ready?" I asked still standing inside. Hayes nodded and we walked to the truck together.

We all agreed on he scary movie "Anabel" which was frightening for me because I hated scary movies while the boys seemed to love them. Hailey & Nash sat in the middle in a corner, probably so they can make out in complete darkness where no one can see them. Rather than Hayes & I who decided to sit in the middle towards the back, Nash got us a small popcorn to chomp on during the movie. The theater was completley empty besides the four of us, which was nice but also I can't blame my screams on anyone.

The theater began to get dark as the movie started to play. I adjusted myself in my seat to get comfortable. Hayes lifted the arm rest so I could lay on his chest to be cozier. I blushed and rested my head on his chest and watched the movie with him listening to his heartbeat. Hayes seemed so fine, like he wasn't scared at all, like these people are being haunted by porcelain dolls how does that not freak you out? I was shaking with how frightened I was. Hayes looked at me concerned "Are you cold?" he whispered closley? His hot breath gave me goosebumbs as it hit my earlobe. His warm hands touched my bare skin causing shivers. "Tess you're freezing. Put my hoodie on, itll keep you warm" He suggested taking it off. I refused at first, but soon gave in. It smells just like him. He has this, undescribable smell and its incredible.

During the movie, I signaled Hayes to look over at Hailey and Nash who were making out wildly, causing a laugh from the both of us. After seeing that disturbing look from the two of them, we took handfuls of popcorn chucking at them. We heard Nash groan in frusteration making us stop.

The movie was scary but luckily for me it was over. Nash took hailey home after the movie and drove us home.

"Looks like you're staying with us tonight Tess, your mom is working late and doesn't want you home alone. Mom just texted me" Nash said driving past my house.
